Great beginner

Just a good beginner ukulele

This is my first ukulele and for the beginners it isn't bad choice.

It looks nice, but cutaway is pretty useless.

Ukulele pegs aren't good quality and bridge has a little wood chip, however frets i personally find comfortable.

Sound isn't good but also it isn't that bad, probably there is a case when it would perfectly fit the song but in general sound is quite poor. After all it is a budget option .

Probably experienced musicians wouldn't find it as a good for song producing.

I would recommend it as a present for the beginner.

Tuning

Very beautiful but I have problem with tuning... I tune it with open cords and when I put my fingers the tuning is not right...

Does the trick

This Uke is ugly. The binding is all messed up, the fret job is bad, and hte shape of the cut-out is very angular. It also doesn't hold tune.

But it plays nicely, it's very light and easy to carry, and the tone is actually quite nice.

This ukulele has no competition in its price segment.

all solid woods and really nice craftman with good mate finishing. Good action and confortable neck.

Quite loud for is size. It's really a great price for a product from HB.

nicely styled uke that sounds great

I picked this colour scheme to fit with my black and cream Les Paul copy, as it looks amusingly like a baby brother! It is quite a classy look, a change from most ukuleles, although perhaps resembling closer some electro-acoustics.

As for playability, I was pleased straight away with the tone and the response. Tuning to GCEA by ear was relatively straightforward with proper worm gears in the tuning keys. The strings are fine.

I'm not an expert on uke (yet), but I was very pleased with this purchase. It has a cheerful sound and is very pick-up-able for a quick strum. Also great value if you are just starting out. Thumbs up!

Looks good sound disappointing

The volume of sound is low compered with other ukes. The body shape looks good but doesn't help the sound. It plays OK and stays reasonably in tune. Would sound better with better strings I think. There are better sounding instruments for not a lot more money.

Lovely little Instrument.

I decided to stick with my guitar playing, and have given it to the leader of our Ukulele group who will find a home with a budding player.

Or he may keep it himself, in which case he says he is happy to pay for it.

Harley Benton standard

Everything about this instrument is average or slightly below. I bought it for my daughter as a playable toy so she could get familiar with notes and tones. To be honest this seems to me like the only purpose for this instrument as it sounds flat and easily getting out of tune. However it does looks nice and the build quality is OK. But that's the only good things I can say about it. Don't expect too much from it.

Great value!

This ukulele sounds and feels great, especially for the price. It is sturdy and doesn't feel cheap at all, very playable and it looks really good. It's definitely worth the money!

My Ukulele

I've been playing ukulele since I was a child. I've been breaking many and I always get another one. This time around I am trying this Soprano Ukulele of Harley Benton, which I really like and endorse for the price I paid I am surprised.

beautiful but poor sound

The plus for this ukulele is that it is made nicely and looks very cool like an modern acoustic. The fretboards and how it is made cutaway is perfect for those who love collecting. But the sound is not ok, the loudness is not enough, and it sounds quite poor when strumming.
