Harley Benton Ultimate Drive Reviews
Must have Overdrive pedal
Pros:
If you want distorted sound, this pedal is what you need. 3 Controls and two switches are working perfectly, you can easily hear the difference. This helps me to get the exact sound of many of Nirvana songs.
Con:
The button is just banging when you push it, it's very tight and hard to push.
not functional
Device was not working on arrival. Switch didn't work either, as could be told from the led staying on when pushing the switch.
great pedal
I love this pedal. There are so many good sounds inside this, and different good sounds.
Amazing for the price.
Good product
I bought this effect pedal for use with electric-accoustic steel-string guitar. Even in this configuration, it works quite nice. Sound is good, handling is smooth, features as expected. Overal quality is satisfying.
fun little drive box
it is fun. sounds good. I am not really a metal player so I got it for the kicks.
Excellent pedal for reasonable price!
This is very good copy of Fulltone OCD and it does exactly what it needs to do at a fraction of this price. Very low noise, pretty good quality components and all in all very nice look. I have this pedal clone for years now... still solid, any issues at all and sounds good! If you're really looking good sounding gear without ripping money from your pocket just go for it!
Great Pedal
So I mostly use this as a boost or as a light overdrive with a Jazzmaster into an orange amp. Seems to have plenty of volume and is quite versatile. The build is solid and the sound is pretty decent, not mind blowing but quite good and usable.
Very useful for making yourself heard during band practices.
Very good budget pedal, as are most Harley Benton or Behringer pedals, and this one has a fantastic growl to a grittier overdrive that borders on distortion sometimes. Love the tones I can get out of it for some blues jams, and I use it often.
Rock Solid
For the price you pay for this OCD Clone you can't do anything wrong. This pedal can easily compete with the big guys. I'd say even more: this one stays on my pedalboard. Of all the OD's & Distortions there are this is definitely one the better one's.
Fat saturated overdrive sounds
Yea I don't think you can get a better sounding overdrive for this great price. You can use it to boost and tighten your signal or get some light drive up to saturated almost distortion or fuzz type sounds.
Good starter OD pedal
I bought this as my first pedal to go with my tube amp, and for the price it does what it's supposed to do, it drives the amp harder. You can adjust the tone, and it has a low/high switch, as well as the gain knob which is obvious, just crank that.
The skull on the front of the pedal might not be for everyone, but most of the times you're not really looking at it.
Great pedal for great price, would recommend for starters/intermediate pedal folks.
Also fit for bass
I bought this based on decent reviews. Works quite well for bass and offers a great quality for price ratio. In my opinion, a better pedal provides the same kind of raw distortion in a more transparant package , so the inherent tone of the instrument doesn't dissappear. Knobs react a bit sensitive. The graphic is very neat.
A solid distortion pedal
The only reason why I have 4* for the features is that more extensive EQ would make this pedal even greater.
I'm not saying that this is a one trick pony - pedal can go from a boost (ala TS) to ball to the walls distortion with adjustment of gain knob. Low and high freqs switch is a great addition as well, since it allows you to make better adjustments to your guitars.
Pleasantly Surprised
You are not gonna find a better drive pedal for this price. Sounds great, the adjustments are sensitive enough to be usable. Maybe they could rethink the weird demon on the outside.
Cheap but great pedal!
I ordered this pedal becuase i checked out some reviews and demos on youtube. And i must say its really a great sounding pedal. But it doesn't work great on every amp ofcourse.
It brings a little lowend mud to your sound which is easy to clean with an eq.
A great overdrive pedal.
This pedal is outstanding. It is a beautifully voiced over drive pedal that can be used for anything from mellow blues to metal leads. It is also extremely well built, made of metal with a rubber bottom (to prevent slippage)
Pros: A very versatile pedal, extremely well built, it's the best value for money in my opinion and I also like the "Oni" graphic.
Cons: The tone can get a little muddy when the gain is past 8 but this is true of the majority of overdrive pedals. The battery compartment it plastic (I don't use it so personally it will never affect me).
In summary: A great little pedal that reminds me of an "OCD" pedal and suits my home recording needs perfectly.
Harley Benton Ultimate Drive
This pedal is amazing good value for it's money! It's based on a rather famous white pedal and that worked out fine! I bought it because I needed a few small pedals for a tour in Portugal and I couldn't bring my pedalboard due to limitations of lugage on the plane. I used it together wih a Z-Vex SHO booster and had a great sound on a clean solid stateFender-amp that was arranged for me!
I now use it in a second and smaller board for small gigs. Just get one, they are good!!!! :)
Double use
I expected something very heavy (like a big distortion) but its more a rock sound that I already have between my TS9 and my Bassman Boss pedal. But great if you don't have a rock pedal!
Unbeatable price/quality OCD
It's a very sturdy pedal and does what you expect it to do. It's really responsive so you can tweak it exactly as you want to, from soft overdrive to pretty much metal distortion. The best OCD on the market at the moment, especially if you're looking to keep expenses as low as possible.
Excellent for the money
Does what I need, excellent pedal for the hobbyist. I don't tour or anything so I haven't used it extensively, but for my purposes it does an excellent job and gives my Les Paul that hard-edged kick that I sometimes crave!
