Harley Benton Valuestrings WE12 10-50 Reviews
Not my cup of tea -
not very impressed with the quality or sound
looks, feels and sounds cheap
would not use the remaining sets I purchased
I will stick to top brands moving forward
Good
For this price you cant find nothing, so its good. Its better to change strings more often, and you want break the bank for sure.)
Excellent
Excellent quality and performance. They stay in tune, sound great and I can't recommend them enough.
They beat strings costing many times more!
Great strings.
I have them on a custom 7 string Jazz Manouche guitar and I can say they last way longer (especially the G string) than Argentines.
I used for cheap option for nashville tuning, but will continue with daddario EJ38
Extremely cheap!!
Bought these strings because of everyday guitar playing, outside in rough use, many hours a day, and I was breaking many strings because of it. These are perfect for this use because even if their sound quality degrades drasticly very quickly, the strings and going to be breaking and be replaces anyways, so thats is no problem for me. Not good strings for causual playing, even though they sound good at first they will lose their sound very fast and have to be replaced very fast again. But perfect for street musicians who play for long hours and break lots of steings!
amazing for the price
Not the best sounding but they sound good enough, worth the buy 100%
it makes you question the reason you pay x3 times for a normal 6 string set. Could the string prices be very lower in general?
Best bargain
For that price it is unbeatable
I'm hooked on HB stuff........
I've become a bit of a Harley Benton fan boy, I needed a set of these to finish a job and just like their electric and other acoustic strings, they do not disappoint, nice clear tone, they don't feel cheap, they're just a nice product that you can rely on
hi there,
10 out of 10 for these strings,
I have paid much more for a similar item and not been pleased,
well done and keep up the good work,
and I have to say,the delivery service is 100%,
I get orders from you quicker than some companies in the uk,,
don't mention brexit ????
thanks jw
Good sound but rather poor durability
To be honest, I really like these strings. They are the cheapest in the universe and they have a decent equal tone. Every time I put them on, I'm a bit surprised how good they actually sound.
Nevertheless, my, there are easy to break. Not only the thinnest G but even the thicker string really don't last long. (Even compared to other Harley 10s, which is baffling.) But for the price, I can afford to put a new set every week, so what.
Strung up
At this price I can't fault these strings. They went on my Yamaha APX easily and sound great. Will buy again.
Good option as stock strings replacement
Suddenly after the purchase of a new guitar the best sound improvement could be achieved with the replacement of the stock strings set, usually provided with the lowest possible quality.
So, while waiting to read some review on the net about the best choice for a set of strings for my 12 string guitar, I've decided to buy this Harley Benton set...
Well, to my surprise, the overall quality of those strings are more than decent: manufacturing is very well done, each string coming into its package, no defect at a visual inspection.
Then, after installing the string on the guitar, the sound test has been really satisfactory: the improvement with respect to the stock set is really sensible and the overall feeling with those strings is surprising when their price is taken into account.
I'm not saying this product could satisfy a pro guitar player looking for the absolute sound quality but for the rest of us, amateur guitar players, this product could offer a valid solution for frequent string change or spare set to always bring in the guitar case pocket.
As last consideration, let me say that while sound quality is a hardly measurable aspect, the price is deterministic: due to their price of about 2,50 euro, these strings are unbeatable (while still providing a very decent sound)!
Another Good Benton String.
Needed a 12 string set for a guitar I don't use much , but had rusty strings on, thought i'd try these and they are fine, actually still on the guitar months after putting them on. Get yourself some string cleaner and they will last.
Great strings always in tune. And that?s on a 12 string. Wow
12 of them. It takes a whole life to change them. Jesus. But they are good.
Good for the price
Good for the price, tend to lose their freshness quickly though. Amazing for the price, but to keep them sounding good may need changed more often.
Excellent backups
bought these for my 12 string and just keep them in its case just in case some strings break, that has happened so I restrung it with these and for the price they sound fantastic, the quality of the strings feel really good and they offer a nice bright tone as most new strings do, even if they're just for an emergency they're definitely worth it, of course these aren't going to be the best sounding strings on the market, they do sound better than some strings where you'd end up paying at least 5x the price. These are really good strings and for the price you simply cannot argue otherwise.
Good Value Strings
Great Strings for the price
Ideal for spares / Student/Budget Musician
Would deffo Recommend
Nashville stringing
Ok so i got these to be a little cheeky - i split the pack into two separate sets : One to string an acoustic 'normally' and the other to string an acoustic Nashville style. Sound great for both!
