Harley Benton Valuestrings Bass 45-105 4-stars Reviews
For the price these strings are well worth!!!
I paid for 1 set £3.59!!!
Unbelievable!!!
Initially I bought 2 sets just to keep them as spare strings should one break during a gig then my curiosity took advantage on me and I put one of these sets on my fretless jazz bass, well with great surprise these strings sounded good, nothing less than normal medium priced strings I normally use on that bass in particular so the set is going to stay there and I am going to buy more sets as soon as possible.
In terms of longevity I don't see any problems as they seem very well built and the orange fabric wrapping at the ends of the strings looks good and also give me a sense of quality.
For the price they are well worth a try,
Good for the price
These bass strings are not particularly good and I would take Ernie Balls over them any day.
However, they are VERY cheap and a good thing to have a couple of just in case.
These are great strings
These are very good strings. I put them on one of my basses and they sound just about right.
Tone-wise, they sound like good roundwound strings. They might not be as smooth as DRs, and chances are if you like higher tension such as that you would have with Ernie Balls you might be slightly disappointed. But for the price they're a total steal and you should try them ? you might like them a lot.
I would have no hesitation whatsoever in putting them on a high end instrument. In fact, I believe I will use the vouchers I have to buy some extra packages, so I can try to see how they fare on other instruments.
But then again, this is another proof that bass guitar strings are, generally speaking, severely overpriced. These work wonderfully for their price. And albeit they might not be as bright sounding out of the box as their more expensive counterparts, it's not a difference you would write home about, let alone one you would hear through an amp in a live setting with two guitarists and a loud drummer. I strongly advise trying these strings.
I've had them on for about a month, and even if they went completely dead by tomorrow, they would stil be worth their price and more.
Cheap backup, can't complain
Depending on how you'll be using your bass, these are some cool strings to have around. I wouldn't use them for recording, but if you're into heavy gigging, these are a great backup.
For the price, these strings are well worth buying as a backup set, they have a bright top end, pronounced mids and a decent bottom end. I wouldn't use them for recording but for practice or as a backup set they are fine.
Good sound at a great price.
I ordered a few sets for a friend, who used them for playing slap bass - he said these were good strings - maybe not with the longevity of more expensive brands, but they held their tune, and gave a good, clear tone.
Usually I'm a guitar player, but sometimes I also like to take my Yamaha bass and jam around. The Harley Benton Valuestrings BassGuitar Medium fir ideal to my requirements. They sound good and also quality is fine. Good strings for the money!
Perfect back up strings
Pleasantly surprised by these value strings. If I were regularly touring or playing every night I might notice a difference, but for your average Joe I these are great for the cost.
Breakages haven't been more than the named brand strings I've used. But then I've noticed every guitarist seems to have different experiences with different strings. But at this cost it's worth buying a few sets to find out how you get on.
Amazingly good strings for its price
I have completely stopped buying other strings. These do not have the initial Zing! of more expensive brands, but since that is not a sound I like that is not a problem. They keep their sound for a long time and do not break. And at the low cost of a new set I have completely stopped cooking strings - it's better to slap on a brand new set.
Great strings, low cost
Great strings that works perfect! Sounds great. As a guitarplayer I mainly use ma bass for tracking basstracks in my homestudio. These strings fits that purpose by far. Great value! Recommended!
Bass Strings unbeaten on price
The Harley Benton Bass Strings are fantastic value offering very good sound quality at a price you won't find anywhere else. The Strings retain their tone as well as far more expensive I strings.
Okay set of very cheap strings
These work ok, the packaging is good and very recognizable.
Sound is okay but they are not the best strings you can get. If you have a bass that isn't very important, or you are a beginner, you can put on these strings and give it new life.
People's Bass Strings
The first time I tried these I was rather sceptic about the quality, but after trying them on some of my basses and having them endure nicely for some months while retaining brightness and tone, I have to say these are some of the best strings on the market and by far the top ones as far as the Quality/Price Ratio goes.
My Standarts
those strings are my standart Bass strings
they are cheape and feel okay playing fingerstyle
they are a good Chose for reserve strings
Nice ones
I bought these strings, cause my old were realy DEAD.
They don´t cost so much and were worth a try.
They stay in tune, have a nice feeling and are not to sticky.
Now I have always a pack in my Case, if I break a String
value strings
I have bought strings of all types over the years for my guitars and basses. I am not the best player you have ever heard but I find the quality and sound of these strings perfectly good enough for my needs. They seem to wear well, helped by the fact that I use fast fret. Really great value at this price.
Great strings for the price
Bought these as a fall back for the studio bass - not used much so didn't want to spend silly money on a branded set. The quality is actually pretty good - I will not ever buy a more expensive set again!
Valustrings
I find these perfect for setting up a guitar, or just keeping a new set on a stored guitar. Good value for money, and I can buy 10 sets at a time
