Harley Benton Valuestrings CL Normal Reviews
Super cheap, sounds and feels nice - not lasting long though...
I would order again, since they're very cheap and not bad sounding whatsoever.
pros:
very cheap
sounds nice
cons:
doesn't last long enough.
Good quality
The have a very feel to them, a good sound for the cheap price
ok
nice string for the money, for your second guitar its ok.
If you have an expensive classical guitar look for something else
Cheap strings
The quality is good for what you pay, not the best but they are really cheap, so its great the customer with the smaller purse.
Nice back up strings.
A very cheap and fine sounding alternative.
Bought these for a classical guitar that's been lying around the house. While I am not primarily a classical guitar player, I do tend to play one 'round the household all the time. Lately noticed that the strings on mine went completely raw, and decided to buy some new ones, and thought that I'd give these Harley Benton ones a try. They sound fine, I like the chiminess of the lower, roundwound strings - it's pleasant sounding, not too harsh but not too mellow, just enough definition. The upper nylon strings seemed a bit soft and muffled at first, but after they've stretched out over time into the correct tone, it's all good. Overall, I'd say You'd have to pay quite a bit more to get something that would result in a very noticeable change in tone, as these do the job just fine. Definitely do recommend.
Good for that price
It is ok 4 learning on primary school.
very good quality decent sound
They sound very good for the price and they feel fine if you just want some cheap strings to stick on a old guitar then these are a great option.
Really very good!
TBH, I am a bass player and I don't have a lot of experience with classical guitars and their strings, but after a few days of settling in and several re-tunings they sound great. I can think of no reason at all why I wouldn't buy them again. Brilliant!
Good for the price
I decided to try such strings. I especially liked the price. I rarely use an acoustic guitar, so I am quite satisfied with the quality.
Ones to change on the go
For the extremely low price, these strings are good to have in your stash. I'd play a gig with them, but in studio would propably use some more personalized set of strings.
Just like it states in the item's name!
You get what you pay for! Valuestrings!
They sound good, but for sweaty hands, they degrade a bit quicker than bigger name brands! A little less durable but the price, however, compensates for all that!
long time owner review.
excellent price/quality ratio.
durable. this strings get the job done.
Great quality with a great price
They feel nice and professional with great intonation.
I'm sure that if you bought more expensive strings, they could get you a perfect sound and durability, but when you don't need that and just need to keep practicing at a cheaper cost, or have multiple guitars you play with, and can't keep up with the cost of restringing them all with top brands, this is the way to go.
For any beginner, having a few of these packs at hand is great. This way you get good quality and you don't have to fret whenever your strings snap on you :P
Surprisingly good
Switched out my d'addario set for these, id say theyre a bit more on the medium-high tension side of things, they sound pretty good, very similar to the set I switched them out with.
Definitely ordering a few of these with my next shipment!
Good string for the price . Sound is bright and they stay in tune well. I have not broken any of these strings. I used these on a cheap nylon string for string busking so i always keep a few packs cos there such good price
excellent basic strings, great value
No complaints at all, exactly as advertised!
Good
Good basic nylon strings, hold tuning generally pretty well. Higher up the 12th fret and beyond the strings have some limitations but I still like these a lot and i change my guitar every 2 months so these are rather economical buys. Pro's Good price & very acceptable for general playing, Con's they like a bit of brightness and some do have some intonation issues in the higher frets (12th+)
Great set of strings at a great price
I tend to go for these every time now to replace strings on a suite of twenty classical guitars at a secondary school.
Compared to a more expensive brand they've actually lasted longer and still have some clarity to them after hard use of around six months. There's been a few breakages here and there but nothing unusual.
Overall I would definitely recommend anybody give these a shot at this price. As with all Harley Benton strings I've been pleasantly surprised by the quality.
Good strings
Strings are of perfectly acceptable quality, i can't hear much difference between these and some more expensive strings. Different maybe, but not worse. Not so sure about durability, they are holding up goof for now.
