Awesome value for money

I wanted to experiment to see how the 40 gauge feels to my hands. Didnt want to pay much just in case i dint like the 40s.

These strings play nice after 2 weeks and they seem will last even more.

Great value for money for sure.

I'll never boil strings ever again.

At this price, you can use fresh strings for every gig. They may not be the ultimate, but they're good, and in a busy venue (or as Zappa would say "in a hockey rink"), nobody will hear the difference.

The only drawback is that, on a headstock that has two opposing sets of tuners, they look weird.

Finally

As a beginner on the bass after many years on guitar, i wanted to have a back up set of strings. However going to the big box stores the prices were out of hand! Some sets were as much as $35! These are a fraction of the price, feel good and sound good right out of the package. For less than half the price of the big box store for 1 set, I ordered 3 sets. Can’t see me needing more for a long, long time!

Harley Benton Valuestrings Bass Guitar Light (40)

A "quartet" of very durable four-string bass set for every bass guitar!

I am very satisfied by all HB products, last year I had to replace the stings in my Harley benton BK practice/ non studio bass guitar.

Pure bass-sound in this instument was re-established, sound like new I have to say and silky feel in playing with fingers or a pick. Go for them!

a tiny bit bright

I bought these strings and will keep buying them, well made, well packed, not a single oxydation spot (which i found often with other brands...). concerning sound they are a little on the bright side, but I like them anyway.

For this price it is an absolute no brainer, if you buy the wrong gauge, just buy another one of the correct gauge and you will still have spent less that one pack of whatever other brand....

Best bass strings out there

Long lasting? Check!

Nice sounding? Check!

Inexpensive? ( And I mean, 3/4 of the price of the cheapest "branded" string) Check!

Bass string are usually really expensive, but this set allow even the most broke musiscian to have fresh strings on their instruments whenever they want.

If the price makes you think about dull sounding and painful wires of metal you are about to change your mind.

These strings have a very bright sound and they feel nice and smooth on the fingers.

I would buy them over any other brand, plus ( yes i'm repeating myself ) these are the cheapest sets you can find.

Good Strings For Me

As with cheaper guitar strings, these bass strings get duller sounding a little bit quicker than some top brands BUT I LIKE THAT WITH BASS STRINGS. I hate the zing of new bass strings and like them well played in. I don't change them unless they break and these haven't yet.

Couldn't be more happy

As you probably know, bass string are quite expensive, so I bought these strings as a tryout for my squier bronco short scale bass.

I was pretty impressed with the sound, more than enough punch.

They are built to last, after months, still sound the same.

Great quality to price ratio!

Great strings even if you don't see the price

I have tried a LOT of string brands over time. Let me put it this way: if all musicians were rational, string brands like Elixir, D'Addario, Ernie Ball would go out of business.

Pros:

- very cheap

- sounds good

- lasts long as any other string

Cons:

- limited range of string gauges

Value for money with a good tone

Bass strings are too expensive. This is a fact.

So when i saw these listed for under £5 a set I was going to give them a fair crack and i am delighted to say that they have not disappointed!

I installed these on my P-Bass and the sound of them is good and bright. There is plenty of string length to install them easily and seem to be holding their tone ok.

I will not be going back to spend £20+ on strings now that I know these do the business. You should do the same.

Good strings for their price

Good sounding strings for the price.

I was kinda impressed with their quality since they are really cheap, but I haven't had any problems at all.

The strings lasted quite a while despite the little use I gave them.

I would recommend them for the price/quality, for any kind of player.

Perfect

Got these for my Hofner, for under £5, they're perfect to just throw in your case just in case you need a spare set, the're not the worlds best strings but they do the job very well. If you're only a beginner then there's no point busting the bank on Ernie Ball's. They're also incredibly durable, they'll usually last about 2 and 1/2 months per set.

Would recommend

Best for the price

Excellent bass strings. Not just for the price which is unbeatable, this HB strings ROCK on pair with Ernie Ball and RotoSound. D'addario are little brighter than HB but for Nickel Plated Steel strings must say they have lots of pleasant ringing.

If you by this bass set you cant go wrong!

I love the blue ends on the strings and how fresh they sound, and thy stay fresh for decent period of time..not as Elixir but not worse than Dunlop,EB,DAddario etc..

I pot this and 45-105 on my Fender Jazz Bass and Fender Sting Precision bass and sound is very good. I don't know why people would buy anything else, they're great

Excellent quality/value ratio for the price.

I've gotten 4 packs of these now and only 1 string has broke on me (and I play a lot of slap). These are really good value. The only drawback is that they have fewer windings and slightly higher tension than the more expensive ones I usually get, but they quickly relax and sound nice and bright with a clean rounded tone. I use these for gigs now and save the more expensive ones for the studio.
