Harley Benton Vintage Tremolo 4-stars Reviews
smooth sound
Love this pedal really can't go wrong for the money and does what I wanted it to. only little thing I don't like it the ports being on the side instead of the top.
overall 3/5 for this one
Very good but subtle tremolo
This pedal is very good in what it does: subtle tremolo. Surfy sounds and shoegaze is easily achieved with this pedal. But if you're looking for a tremolo that can go into extreme (clippy killswitch sound) this pedal doesn't do that.
The speed and intensity rate work very well. But the pedal doesn't get very extreme.
This does make it easy to keep the tremolo effect very subtle.
All in all I'm very happy with the pedal! It works perfectly fine, had zero issues with it. I just wish there was a possibility to make it sound a tad more extreme whenever I needed it to.
Harley Benton Vintage Tremolo
Prima pedaaltje voor zijn prijs. Goede kwaliteit en afwerking.
Enige min-punten:
Basic Tremolo
just a basic tremolo for good price, does what its suppose to do!
Nice if you want to try if tremolo is for you
Overall quality of te effect for this price is quite good, casing is ok, battery incasement is nice feature, only fonts and yellowish knobs could look better. Wish there was Custom line vesion, they look way more high end. I found for myself 2 nice sounds I would use, mostly by operating rate knob, and that's 2 more than I normally can find on effect from this price range. It doesn't sound aggresive and that was something i was looking for.
Great sounding basic tremolo.
A basic optical tremolo. You will obviously get some volume drop since there's no boost. You can't change the LFO waveform. The LFO won't go to audio rate, so you can't do weird noises.
That said it sounds absolutely great! A nice subtle sound. If all you want is a basic tremolo of the type you'd have on many amps, this is exactly the ticket.
The knobs are nice and big, construction is decent.
A cheap product that does exactly what it says on the tin.
Works and sounds awesome except for the effects loop - for some reason there is a huge volume drop. Otherwise it's awesome and sounds really nice before amp as a subtle effect.
Well built but a bit vanilla
Needed a cheap and cheerfull tremolo so picked up this HB version.
It's the usual harley benton quality as far as the build goes so no problems there.
Plugging it in and switching it on all worked as expected.
Dialling in some wobble i found it to be very subtle way up to 12 o'clock and then some. It's not that this pedal is bad or anything of that nature. It just doesn't give me the depth of tremolo i desire.
If you're after subtle tremolo then this is a nice little box at a strong price. If you want a pedal with a bit more modulation this will be a dissapointment.
It's all down to personal taste at the end of the day and i'm sure i'll find a use for the pedal at some point.
I use this for a bit of blues tremolo effect, a good low priced tremolo, nice and warm sounding has a bit of volume loss when switched on but nothing major. Build quality is good for the price.
good quality, cheap, good but not brilliant
This pedal is well built and totally reliable. Switch feels solid but a bit cheap - which is fair enough really. The time dial works well and its easy to get the tempo right, the intensity doesnt give you a lot of control till about 12 oclock. Sound is just a little bit disappointing - it works well to add some flavour to reverb, but on its own you get either very subtle or a bit harsh and nasty. I still like it, but if you were going for full on surf sounds you might wish youd spent a bit more.
Not a supatrem, but it's what the average trem pedal should be and it's really cheap. Good build.
Very well built. It has metal chassis that can definitely take a beating.
There is no volume drop when you engage the pedal wich is awesome.
The only downside is that the effect could be more pronounced.
It is a nice pedal overall however considering the priceit is an awesome pedal.
9/10
Good affordable tremolo
I took a chance on this pedal and was pleasantly surprised. There is a nice sound to the tremolo with a wide variety on depth and rate available. The pedal is silent and very well built! Another great purchase to add to the pedalboard.
Worth every penny
Not the greatest tremolo ever, but it does the job very well. If you're looking for a nice tremolo with basic features, it's worth it! Nice price as well!
Basic Tremolo
Bought this more out of curiosity than necessity. It's ok - but only ok! Used on it's own it works fine, but used in a full board it seems to get a bit lost in the mix and adjusting the intensity doesn't seem to have too great an effect. Fair to say I play with a lot of gain/distortion at times which will obviously have an effect.
Good solid construction, should last a long time. All in all a good pedal for the price, just don't expect it to replace anything at the higher end of the market.
Good value
Fantastic at the price. Missing from the documentation is that there are trim pots inside that you can change to alter the maximum of the intensity and the shape of the waveform related to the rate. This is not in the documentation with the pedal or in the download documentation.
It is documented in a you tube video related to a Joyo version of this pedal.
Other than that I like it. Once I turned the pots up I got the sound I was looking for: full on helicopter type tremolo. It does everything else in between also. The light is a nice touch which flashes in time with the rate so you can match it to the rythm of the song easily.
All in all great pedal for the price well happy with it.
True value for money!
Intuitive to use, no noise. Better tremolo pedals might be out there, but for this price it offers a super tremolo effect. The led indicator illuminates accordingly with the rate level. I use it with a power supply, so I cannot report on battery consumption.
The adhesive rubber protection below the pedal might be a little bit problematic if you want to attach the pedal to your board with velcro tape (I had to remove the rubber, in order to have the velcro adhering properly to the pedal)
Good Basic Option
This isn't the fanciest tremolo in the world but it has it where it counts. That's in the sound. Both controls produce a good variation across their sweep. You'd be hard pushed to find better at the price
Good tremolo for the price
I did not expect much when I ordered this pedal so was pleasantly surprised. Still I considered it not to be a keeper. I found useful tremolo vibes for my use only from the last quarter end of both knobs. Faulty pedal or a feature? I think the latter since otherwise this pedal worked quite good. Metal case is sturdy but the switch feels a bit flimsy.
Good, cheap tremolo. Nothing more but definitely nothing less either. You'll get value for your money unlike with Behringers. I desired something more so my quest for a tremolo pedal continues.
Tremolo
This is a great value pedal and I'm happy with it. The range of depth and speed is quite limited but is suitable for a Fender amp style tremolo. It's perfect for the money, seems very sturdy.
