Harley Benton WL-20BK Rock Series Reviews
Nice and not expensive guitar
I'm happy to play on this guitar, pretty good sound and price/quality
For the price it's amazing
I'm a broke guitarist and seeing this made my day and it sounds amazing on my amp. Only thing I would change are the tuners as they fall out of tune nearly every morning I pick it up. Despite all that it gives a pure metal sound with it's jagged looks. Perfect for metalhead beginners on a budget!
I recommend it
There are no words to say. The quality the sound.. everything is amazing at this price !!! I’m very happy about this guitar
For this money, amazing
I mean i think it s a joke that for this money you can get guitar like this. Plays really nice, neck feels comfortable, and i mean whats there to talk about the body. The reason why i bought the guitar is because of it s shape. Sounds good, with both pickups, and good both on distortion and clean sound. All and all it s great. I only have a little thing that i dont like. I feel like that the tuners are to close to eachother, maybe if hey were bit more seperated or 3 on top and 3 down. But thats it for negative points.
Guitar of my dreams!
This guitar is just so lovely from the awesome style and shape to even sound that it has.
As a beginner myself i wanted an affortable guitar to learn and then i stumbled upon this beauty that cost only 122€ so i had to buy it!
(Ps. They include an AUX cord which is so nice of them.)
Great guitar the features are cool and it sounds good
Great Guitar at a great price
Great metal guitar at an affordable price. great modding platform
Came damaged
Guitar looked great until I looked at the bottom of it and seen a giant gouge completely ruin the guitar.
Great for beginners
As soon as i got this out the box it just needed a tune. feels great for a beginner, and with an amp you can get nice clean and distored tones, and the looks are great.
Good guitar poor service
My son loves this guitar, however we weren’t told it wasn’t in stock when we purchased it, this is something that we should have been told as soon as we looked at the guitar on the website, I had to keep asking what was happening with the order, customer service is appalling
just look incredible, sound like $111 guitar

I was totalblowed away of the style and, the sound was Awsome

Just wish you guys will have a totally Black Flying V guittar, with the spited top..like V
Metal Beast
I really like this guitar. The one I received was packaged well and is a well built guitar. The maple neck is straight with no sharp frets. The guitar plays well with no dead spots on the fretboard. I actually kinda like the stock high gain ceramic pickups. I will probably replace for a set of active EMG's but they do sound pretty good- excellent to play metal or hard rock. All the controls work well. The bridge seems ok. I did replace the stock tuners with black locking tuners, but the stock tuners were not really that bad. I was expecting to mod this guitar out, but now will only make a few changes. I will put in a bone or tusq nut to replace the plastic stock one although the guitar does seem to have pretty good sustain with the plastic nut. I see no reason to swap out the electronics( except if I put in active humbuckers and will need to change the pots) or the bridge. The guitar sounds really good in my opinion. I truly believe Harley Benton stock entry-level pickups sound way, way better than other stock pickups found in my other inexpensive project guitars. The Neck humbucker is mellower with some warmth although not as much as if it had an Alnico 5 magnet. The Bridge humbucker has some bite to it and handles high gain without too much unwanted noise/feedback although I do use a noise gate in my pedal board which helps cut down on that. The Bridge pickup is def good for solos and playing really heavy parts. Neither sound muddy to me. All in all I would recommend this guitar and the Harley Benton brand in general to my friends. I'm very impressed with Harley Benton's build quality. I also purchased the Mockingbird copy which I also really love. This would be an excellent guitar for a beginner who wants to learn how to play metal. I'm in the US and this guitar only costs about $100 which is unbelievable. The tuners I just put in were about $40 which is almost half of what I paid for the whole guitar. I'm just really impressed with this guitar. I've read other reviews saying that this guitar is hard to hold while sitting down. Nope, feels comfortable to me. The only thing I have noticed with the Warlock and Mockingbird is that both guitars have neck dive. I found if I hold the neck it plays fine and is balanced. So just hold the guitar and you'll be fine. I have 15 guitars and these two Harlery Benton's are becoming my go to guitars when I'm inspired to write something. All in all I'm a very satisfied, happy customer and I plan on buying more Harley Benton's even with the shipping costs so high- they're definitely worth it.
from when I buy it is my main guitar....just really happy
What an eyecatcher for only just over 100 bucks!
I like the design of the guitar and for just over 100 bucks I just couldn't resist. I knew what I was getting into for this price but I'm pleasently surprised. The strings it came with weren't good but the humbuckers do a pretty good job. I mean, it's not Gibson but it's certainly recommended just for the looks and the price.
best metal guitar in this price range
This is a classic metal guitar design, I think it's the Warlock. It is a very good looking guitar. There is nothing on it that looks cheap. It is heavy, sturdy and feels really good in your hands. The sound is also good. I'm not an expert but I guess more expensive guitars have better internal pick-ups or better quality wood which would generate a 'better' sound. But for me, with a EH Metal Muff pedal, it sounds incredibly 'metal'. If you're a beginner you can't go wrong with this guitar. It comes with the strings already set-up so it's ready to play out of the box.
Not perfect but great for its price
I bought this guitar because of its price and of course shape.
This is my first guitar that i bought for learning. And to be honest i expected better quality but most of the issues that i found are only visual. For example on my guitar i found couple scratches, inside of pickups are a bit messy, plastic pickup covers a bit scratched, plate that holds guitar output plug a bit bent, inside guitar is full of sawdust. Soundwise its pretty good, especially if you will drive it sounds no worse than some of the most expensive guitars out there.
I'm a beginner guitarrist, and this fit my pocket/hands
Nothing bad to note about it. Love the sound, quality, everything about it.
Good product for the money
It came fine , only a small setup and ready to play.
The fretboard needed cleaning because there is something like glue on it
And strings was very hight
Wow!
Cool electric guitar. I first bought this as a deco for my studio wasn't expecting much of it but when it arrived i was positively surprised. It not actually looks good , it plays too! Best budget electric guitar on the market. For sure i recommend this purchase to anyone that wasn't a cool looking guitar almost for free)
