Great practice amp

For me this thing sounds great, even though i have no experience with expensive bass amps. Low frequencies can easily start shaking things in your house if you get too loud, but mids are also ok and bass solo sounds great. Solid balanced sound.

Loudness is more than enough for small room, although you can get it really quiet with -10db button for late night practice.

Has 4 band eq and well-built, great practice amp for the price.

Great practice combo

Ibanez got it right with this one.

Very nice sweet tone, plenty of volume for 20w and built like a tank.

The aux input is very handy.

It does what's supposed to do very very well and the price is right too.

Highly recomended

Best 1x8" combo money can buy!

I play upright bass and used Ibanez's big brother P3110 Promethean for rehearsals and small semi-accoustic gigs but I did not like the sound of the internal speaker at all, very boxy. The P3110 is a serious gigging amp when connected to an external cabinet but when I need big power, I rather use my Ampeg PF-500 or Trace Elliot ELF head instead. So... I sold the P3110 but still had a need for a small compact and portable amp for rehearsals and semi-accoustic gigs. I tried the Hartke HD25 but found the EQ to be inadequate. The P20 however has a very efficient EQ that handles every input signal I throught at it, from upright bass to my '51 Pbass. The sound really fills the room and the clean (!) volume is impressive for a ¤109 amp with 8" speaker. Even though the HD25 is my only reference in small amps, I tend to say the P20 is much better, probably the best amp ¤109 can buy! Highly recommended.
