Ibanez PC12MH-OPN Reviews
Surprising!
For the price this guitar can't be beat. Super fun and easy to play, pleasing sound and the small size makes it a perfect living room / bedroom instrument. Looks good to boot. Highly recommended.
love this guitar
been using it for 4 years. love the sounds it makes
Sounds Beautiful! but....
I love the size and feel, and it resonates so much! Has great control over dynamics too. It had a little bit of fret buzz on the b string out of box, and after some truss rod adjustment it sounds much better, but still has a little problems here and there on the 2nd and 3rd frets. But it plays well all the way up the neck other than that! Keep it mind you'll need to tie a strap to the neck
Colour is off
I am very happy with the guitar, the delivery was great but the colour of the guitar on the images is much different than the real deal ;)
Great out of the box!
Considering the money i spent on this guitar i didnt expect much.
When i had it in my hands though i was blown away.Superb quality for the price, really good looking instrument, stays in tune, good resonance. Its a go-go!
I love this guitar
I bought this one to keep it on a stand in the living room and reach for it anytime I want to play.
I decided for this specific model, because it's just freakin' beautiful.
It sounds great, looks great and feels great. For this price I wouldn't expect a top-quality, that's why I don't even care about some minor details that could have gone better in the factory.
For me it's important that it keeps the tune, shape and sound beautifully warm.
My kid also likes to play on it (she's only 1,5y).
Surprisingly light
This was purchased principally as a back-up guitar, though this model was in part chosen out of curiousity as to how an all-mahogany guitar would perform at this price range. Aesthetically the open pore top is more subtle than shown, and in terms of texture feels comfortable once well acquainted with the hands. However, the back is very thin and therefore I wouldn't feel comfortable gigging with this in anything but the most intimate of settings. The neck is smooth and plays well, though perhaps thinner than one might expect. The provided strings are servicable and sounded better once the guitar had been set up and settled in open-D ? though it doesn't handle a slide particularly comfortably. In this tuning as well as standard, the tone growls and is full of mids, thus I would recommend the instrument to anyone to whom such a sound appeals seeking a cheap acoustic for home/studio use, though to aficionados of mahogany interested in more than just the novelty of the material I'd suggest looking elsewhere. Though at this price, someone tempted by more expensive Ibanez acoustics in this style would do well to try this out first.
Good Value
If you want a cheap but solid acoustic guitar it is great. Solid Mahogany sounds and looks killer. The neck profile is small but with enough meat and it stays in tune perfectly. Even though it is a smaller concert size the projection of this guitar is loud and could work for Busking. Great wood, Great sounding no frills guitar.
Met every single hope I had
I've been playing guitar for at least 3 years and I've been working with a fender squier, it all battered and bruised and it's seen a lot of gigs, I never liked the action, it was way too high. I thought that it was time to upgrade, though this is a solid acoustic and cheaper, it's superior in every way, the action is love, smooth movement from fret to fret, lovely full tone, the bass notes ring out superbly, the body is nicely finished, the action is low and it's mahogany which is a nice change. I've only had this guitar for a short amount of time now, a couple of weeks and I've already taken it to gigs, any where I go, it's just a superb piece of kit, especially for the price, I seriously recommend that anyone should buy this, especially if you're a beginner and you want something really decent.
