Ibanez TS9 5-stars Reviews
A stone cold classic
Sounds and looks great. Every guitar player should have it.
The classic pedal - does what it's supposed to
Bought this together with my first ever valve amp and very happy with it. It doesn't have 5 different pedals in it, it's just one, which for me is a bonus - less time tinkering, more time playing and learning how to use the sound you've got.
Ibanez TS9
Classic tube sound, excellent workmanship. I am very happy with the purchase.
Simple yet awesome!
I've never owned a Tube Screamer so the first time I switched it on I was a little underwhelmed... It didn't seem to do much. (Can't believe I thought that now). Now I don't play without it. It gives the amp a nice little push and really boosts the signal. Beautiful sound. Very happy with the purchase.
TS9
One of the best pedals ever, for sure. However, even when it's played a lot, the use of it, might be a little bit more than it can bare. But it's one of the best ever!!
der Klassiker
perfekt um einem Tube Amp nochmal etwas mehr Schub zu geben und die Bässe etwas tighter zu machen
A great classic!
I don't know what can be said about this pedal. It sounds great and it's built like a tank. For me it works great both as a boost and as overdrive.
Exactly what you would expect
Great pedal, great tone, exactly what I was looking for.
TS9
Doesn't really need any presentation. There are no reasons at all not to have one in our pedalboard, no matter what music genre you are playing.
Ronseal...
It is what it is! I use a '59SLP reissue and indoors at least, that needs a tube screamer! I've used more modestly priced OD pedals in the past but tonally these are of a higher standard so the price tag is somewhat justified!
The range of the TS9 is great from clean boost to heavy drive it can be used for a variety of styles. The endless debate between the TS808 and 9 isn't as clear cut to me as saying as the 9 is more "modern" or it's "edgier". As with any signal processor you can manipulate it further using your guitar's volume and tone control. This pedal isn't true bypass so that's worth noting, but it's versatile and very good ad what it's built to do.
Great sound
Great with a valve amp to add that extra distortion level. If you have a 2 channel amp this can effectively add a 3rd channel in between clean and lead.
Sounds great on any amp!!
Gain on 0, level on 10, tone to taste. I use over a dozen od pedals for this purpose, but the ts9 is the only one that plays nice with every single amp I own. Also works well with other pedals and can definitely add tightness and definition to any pedal that you put this in front of.
The classic overdrive
Use this as an overdrive for the gain stage of my Dual Rectifier, it is obviously a classic with great quality build. Setting the gain to 0 and level somewhere between 50-100% and the tone at 50-75% is awesome and transforms the sound to be much tighter than without. Specially the low end.
a classic
if you play more than jazz - you will need one of these.
sure there are a lot of similar models out there or newer versions with more features but this one is a classic for a reason.
Classic Overdrive pedal
Like all overdrive pedals, the Tube Screamer is designed to give your tone some warmth, crunch and gain. Unlike all overdrive pedals, the TS9 excels in complementing your guitar tone, rather than reinventing it. With only 3 controls, Drive, Tone and Level, the TS9 is a simple and low fuss effects pedal.
Best overdrive pedal
The best quality and sounding overdrive pedal I've owned. Much recommendable
Amazing pedal
Solid build quality
Great sound
Versatile
A must buy for any pedalboard
This pedal is flawless! Built well, sounds incredible and no other pedal comes close to it.
An absolute must for any pedalboard.
Perfect and Multipurpose
Multipurpose
Yes summarize with one word "multipurpose" I spent two weeks researching and testing what the best sound for an overdrive pedal, I tested Electro Harmonix Soul Food, Boss SD-1 Boss BD-2, Boss OD-1X Overdrive Boss OD 3, MXR Zakk Wylde Berzerker Overdrive, and Chegui the comclusão that all these cited in the test are basic, is limited in my opinion.
When it came time to test Ibanez -TS9 was a surprise, with a Fender Super Reverbs perfect sound you can feel the valves scream, Marshall
DSL100H also perfect, my neighbor asked to turn the volume down, only I had traveled in sound, picked up my Fender Mustang I VII and the TS-9 working very well.
In conclusion, Ibanez TS-9 worth every cent paid, you can play Blues, Rock and Metal easy next to a Big Muff TS-9 boosts for a strong sound and the heavy unequaled, first choice for SRV and Kirk Hammett now I know why It was and is unequaled.
(Forget test on YouTube, or any video for pedals, you need to feel the pedal for yourself, you never know the trick used to fool your choice)
A must-have Classic
The Tubescreamer is deservedly a classic among the pedals. It is very versatile, it offers subtle to drastic changes in sound. With gain knob to zero, you can "fatten" your clean-sound, at higher gain settings, you get a nice classic rock distortion.
