Simply no

I remember when in 2000 or 2001 I bought the first AmpliTube.

It was amazingly sounding plugin. Just few effects and few amps but behaving in very natural way.

Now - we have the AmpliTube 5. Shall be killing, but I just cannot use it. I stop using AmpliTube after purchasing the 5.

The PROS:

- Proven history of being fantastic plugin.

- Gazzillions of amps and effects you can buy (some for free).

- Multitrack recorder.

- Quite accurate tuner.

- Looper (if you alone, or asocial and cannot build a band).

- Very good Fender amps (at least some models). (Really good).

- Bells and whistles, fountains, air conditioner and hair conditioner in one. And (probably) AmpliTube 5 can fix your car also.

CONS:

- It sounds like shit (that could be maybe fixed after hours of tweaking).

- It is noisy - that is my biggest problem.

- Somehow it lost dynamics (yes, I know what I am saying, I was using AmpliTube for 20 years) (geez, I am old)

- MIDI implementation drives me crazy. I want that s**t working MY WAY!

Being lucky and having lots of plugins from any competitors, after 20 years I totally stopped using AT.

Conclusion:

If you're on budget, just look somewhere else (there are some good free plugins also, that sound fantastic).

If you have some money - buy other plugins and compare. You will be surprised, how much more accurate, dynamic and noiseless other can sound.

If you have more money - buy Kemper, AXE or QC. Be happy.

Stay safe guys and always protect your ears ;-)
