I bought 4 of these as there was a gap in my needs for small stage wedges for theatre / small gig shows. Since Ive bought them used them on jobs i didn't think would be feasible, they pack ALOT of punch for their size. I even used them on mic stands as satellite fills down a room for a corporate event, as the room was overcrowded, worked a treat! Some downsides, no handle, but super lightweight so no real problem there. Biggest problem ive found is that there is no mic/line level switch, which would be very nice. The jack input is line level, and the mic input mic level, I got around this by purchasing xlr to mono jack adapters and it works fine. Overall, very happy with this product, but remember, it has to suit your needs, Its not going to blow you away with big bass like bigger...
EV PXM-12MP

After a lot of research and reading about various solutions for my digital amp modeller (Fractal), and a lot of mumbo jumbo about "FRFR", amp in the room, etc etc, I concluded that a floor monitor like the EV unit I am reviewing here, would suit my needs. After receipt, I experienced that it does the job perfectly for my use. I play in a band that sometimes play in public, so for me it is important that my patches sound good trough a PA system, and not just in from of my computer. The EV PXM-12MP is capable of playing at high volumes without any clipping or distortion, and with minimal colouring. I could indeed also have used it in the band setting, but there we are using some Behringer montors, and I rather want to keep this unit at home, so I can enjoy it whenever I want. That...

The speaker is missing the lower frequencies which is good if you consider this a monitor speaker for a singer/guitarist (no feedback and buildup of lower frequencies on stage). I would not recommend to use this as main PA. For me it sounds best on "Drums" setting with no EQ applied. There is a tiny bit of hiss i can hear from my unit (which will not be a problem on a noisy stage) Certainly loud enough, i can hear my voice clearly. I love the fact that there is and indicator led under the speaker grill showing you that the speaker is powered on (you don't have to look from the side). You can disable the indicator led in menu if you find it disturbing. Otherwise solid construction, good quality, solid front mesh (you can step on), heavy (in a good way), reasonable size. Super...
Fun Generation CL 105 A

This small monitor is doing exactly what it is made for. I can hear what I am singing and I can hear my guitar while I am gigging. It is loud enough when it is standing in front of you. The frequence range starts at 30 Hertz in the description. But I cannot hear the low sounds very well on this one. That could be better. But in relation to the price it is OK and I will not give it away. I bought it together with the soft bag and that is a good deal. For only 9 Euro more I got the bag. I have the Behringer Eurolive B205D too for a few years and that sound is better. But it is not really louder. And the price is higher. All in all I am happy with the new CL 105 A. I didn't check the USB player because I don't need that. It is a nice extra.

Compact, lightweight, loud enough for small performances. Very easy to use. Don't expect Glastonbury style sound but if you need to pack a little punch this thing works a treat. Whether it's plugging directly in or going via a mixer it performs well. Not turned it up 'in anger' yet but for what I need it for I can't see it struggling. If you're considering getting one of these I would say just click the button. You'll be hard pushed to find a better performing compact active system for the money. It takes up hardly any space at all and if all else fails you've got yourself a nice loud bluetooth speaker!

These monitors were bought as an upgrade from the previous model. We have used The Box Pro for a long time now and all I can say is that you will not find an equally built, crystal clear monitor in its price range by any other manufacturer. They have a solid constriction, yet remain incredibly lightweight, it's easy to carry two of these at a time. Although these are the 12 inch model, they stand up to the previous 15 inch model very well. They're very directional which is what a wedge should be. No lost audio in the wrong places. Would definitely buy again, and recommend to anyone who needs a quality monitoring solution.
