great 7 string

beautiful looking, very cool style. the pickup had too much bass for me though... just a few changes and you will have an amazing 7 string...

Happy

I had been looking for a 7S for a while and wanted a Jackson that didn't look like their standard guitars... boy I got to say that this guitar surprised me positively in all aspects. Ever since changed pots to something a bit better and the electronics into solderless. Hardly falls out of tune. Only two things I really had to do was polish my edgy frets and change the strings to something more of my taste, other than that all was perfect from the get go. Good 7S for the price.

OK for begginers / intermediate

The overall quality is OK.

The guitar came fully setup and ready to rock.

Good for starters

It's very worthy instrument if it's first seven-string guitar. There is some noise when connecting to the line, but for this money it can be forgiven. In drop G sharp - sounds good!

My first seven string

This is the best 7 string electric guitar for beginners. It was a huge surprise for me to hear how good it sounds for the money. In 15 years, I have something to compare to and compared to my 2000 euro 6-string guitar, this one sounds very decent.

Best Budget Seven String !

I have the guitar a couple of months now and i am happy to say that for what you pay you get a lot !

What amazes me the most is how they are able to produce something with that quality at this price range.

The guitar came in great condition and the set up was great, low action no buzz.

The are no sharp ends on the frets and the hardware overall is really good .

Tuners hold their tune just fine and the bridge is comfortable.

Didn't have any problems with electronics or grounding issues, the pick ups are pretty decent, not too muddy and they are quite "versatile" with a little eQ you get what you want.

As far as playability goes i find the neck really comfortable and the higher scale length is not as noticeable.

Of course its not the best guitar out there BUT for that kind of money you get A LOT of value.

if you like upgrading hardware and have the budget to spent on some new pickups bridge etc., this is the perfect workhorse.

I didn't really find any cons and didn't notice anything off with the instrument.

If you are looking for a cheap seven string guitar or you want to enter the realm of extended range guitars this is the guitar for you!

Good for someone looking for a first 7-string

For the money you get a perfectly usable 7-string instrument. Honestly, a very well made guitar from Jackson, considering the price. Perfect for someone who is looking to get into the extended range guitar world.

Pros:

*It almost works out of the box. Didn't need to do much besides replacing the factory strings, which is to be expected anyway. 052 is way too thin for a 7 string, something in the range of 060-064 is perfect for B standard.

*Very decent tuners and bridge. Stays in tune like a champ!

*Looks killer. Seriously!

Cons:

*The pickups are muddy. I would advise to replace at least the bridge pickup with something of a higher quality. This upgrade will probably cost as much as the guitar itself, but it's worth it.

*Scratchy frets and unfinished fret ends. This is not mandatory of course, more of a personal preference. #0000 steel wool and a quick filing job on the fret ends made the guitar much more enjoyable.

Very pleased.

For someone who is starting on the seven-strings, this is a great choice.

The pickups sounded a bit muddy at the beginning. The sounds wasn't very defined but this can be adjusted.

It is well finished and balanced. Not flawless but really good, considering it's a low-end instrument.

Probably requires a setup before it plays properly but once this is done, we have a pretty decent guitar.

Great for beginners.

Very good for this price. It plays and sound fine.

Kinda noisy and tuners are wonky but as a beginner I payed way more for way less.

A great modding platform and beginner 7-string/baritone guitar

Absolutely fell in love with this guitar after taking the time to set it up when it arrived.

Firstly, the guitar pickups that come stock are okay. They are high gain, which is great for Metal, however, they are slightly muddy when you are using a lower tuning, otherwise they respond well with distortion, especially having a tube screamer before the amp.

I currently have a set of 10-59 d'addario nickel wound set on it right now tuned to Drop G#. The stock strings are not good unless you like a set of 9-52s, but it is just too floppy for even the standard 7-string tuning in my opinion. The default should really be 10-62, just like a baritone.

The finish on the body feels great, though it is a bit difficult to clean, and can catch finger marks easily. The neck feels very comfortable with the satin finish and low profile, even though I am not a shredder. Felt one spot of roughness on the neck but it wasn't hindering my playing.

I will be adding aftermarket hardware on this. Stock hardware is fine but I know this guitar can do better.

A lot of guitar for little money

Absolutely the best 7-string for €233. Jackson did it again!

It sounds pretty good, but the finish is as aspected for this price.

Sometimes I cut my finger on the end of the frets when I move quickly over the neck and the tuning screws keep vibrating loose.

This guitar is perfect for someone that is new to a 7-string (like me) and wants to try it a bit before you go all-in with an expensive one.
