Jaspers 170-4-120B Reviews
Quality Keyboard/Module Stands
All my synths have a home and are alive on this tiered and compact synth stand. Great to have them all set up and in view instead of having to take down and put away until next use.
Great to set up. Just take your time in planning, and have a level tool handy to determine whether surface and stand alignment is horizontal for your synths.
Obviously you can gauge with eye level, but always handy to have a Leveller tool in setting up.
I cannot fault this product at all. A must have if you have many synths, if some are resting upon a wall.
Beams rotate and stuff falls off
I am using the stand well within specifications, with joints tightened as much as I can, and malleted together.
The beams rotate. My gear falls off, a domino effect happens. Now I have lots of damaged gear.
The design relies on tension and balanced distribution to keep everything in place which had proven to be untrustworthy.
the bottom rack is not as advertised
One of my main support posts came bent.
the lowest rack may be able to support more weight than the others, but the arms are not long enough to make it to the back support like other versions of this rack. I would not trust them to hold my more heavy items. You may be able to sacrifice the next lowest level and use that one, at the cost of the total rack space and it probably have to be at an angle.
Also be aware the lowest section with the longer arms, stick out further than the other three.
The feet on the legs on wood floor are not wide enough for my comfort. I am going to use straps and anchor this to my wall because i feel like my cat could push off it and potentially knock the whole thing over.
Excellent Keyboard Rack with few drawbacks if any
Excellent modular Keyboard Rack with few drawbacks, if any.
You can easily upgrade many parts to fit your changing needs.
The only reason I gave it 3 stars on quality is because it arrived with 2 dents in it, the product is in fact very high quality.
Another Synth in the Wall
Value for money, for sure. High quality materials and easy to assemble. All the connectors are in the right place. You just need to look closely (and think) before you put the tubes at the correct locations. I've added casters to move the rack around in my studio a bit. That hardly impacted the stability. I now have a wall of synths and a clean desk again.
The out-of-the-box setup offers a lot of space. So far I've not had to adjust the height or depth of the rows. I've only tuned the angles to get better access to some of the synths. The 40cm holders are wide enough to also hold a shelve on which you can position multiple smaller synths (in my case some Dreadboxes and a Minitaur), in 2 dimensions. A very efficient use of space.
Jaspers Stands are the best, Bar None!
I have a 4D-150B and just purchased this 170-4-120B. I love both! Being able to move keyboards backwards and forwards makes the 170-4-120B a far superior stand! Also, the 170cm height provides plenty of room to stack 'boards!
Great Product
I like this a lot!
it took me a few tries to get it set up right for my requirement, If you use it as it come pre set it's quick and easy to set up.
Fantastic Stand!
This has proven to be one of my most valuable purchases in my current studio. It allowed me to have all of my keyboards available and positioned well, and I have complete confidence in their safety on this hardware.
an excellent choice
i bought this rack to hold synths.. of course.
it's easily built and requires only an allen key which is included. its perfectly as flexible as it could be and should be suitable to almost any height adjustments you would require. and once its installed it feels sturdy enough to trust with your most unobtanium of vintage ARP 960000 rarest of the rare toys.
a very satisfied customer with a very satisfying product. all up. very impressive.
it wont fall over.
buy it now.
Excellent Keyboard Rack, but make sure it's stable
This is the ultimate keyboard stand. Four tiers, completely customisable but a number of attachments available from Jasper. Really the only stand you need for your studio!
However, be aware that it needs to be loaded down to not tend to tip forward. I sold a few of my syths and when only one was sitting in the bottom rack it had a tendency to tip forward with the least amount of force. Not great if you have cats that like to climb!
Otherwise this is the perfect keyboard stand!
