Worth its weight

This has a gorgeous tone , however isn't exactly a portable mute if you intend to travel light. Due to it's weight, it's prone to slip out, so unless you plan to do a makeshift job on the cork, it's a wonderful addition for home recording. I'll be buying an aluminium mute to carry around.

The best in the business

This is an unbeatable mute - always a good sound replicating that of the old jazz greats such as Miles Davis and Dizzy Gillespie. Worth the money to upgrade to this one from anything else. Remember to sand your cork when it arrives!

Brilliant sound!

This is a fantastic sounding mute. The copper gives it a richness that is just perfect for a smoky jazz sound.

The only slight drawback that I can think of if pushed is that you need to be aware that it is quite weighty!

But other than that it sounds great, projects really well and has good intonation, what more can you ask for?

Impressive

We used in a Yamaha YTR 5335 gsii trumpet that fits without problem with space to spare. The cork fits snug in the bell without dropping out, time will tell. Little difference in weight worthy of note, compared to other mutes. Used mainly without the centre tube, it gives a warm darker sound than the brighter Harmon mute that was purchased to compliment this one. Aesthetically bright copper that will not doubt dull over time, it is a mute worthy of the tool bag. No problems as yet with intonation or back pressure so all good!

Very nice mute except..

Very nice sounding mute! It?s heavy due to the copper made! Also when my mute arrived the cork was not glued very well and another problem that I still have is that the cork is old and cannot stick on the trumpet! Unexeptable for such expensive mute!

Better tone and increased volume over the aluminium harmon.

A bit more expensive than the aluminium version but I find it has a nicer, richer sound and can be played with more volume. It?s heavier so make sure it?s in securely when you play.

Sound is perfect. Quality is great. Maybe a bit expensive but worth this price.

First Trumpet Mute :)

This is my first mute, but it definitely sounds amazing, just like what you would expect.

Wonderful

I love harmon mutes, but this one is truly wonderful. The only problem is the cork - it gets used with time and starts to fall apart from the mute and you need to glue it back to it.

A really superb mute

I bought this mute as my old Denis Wick was old and battered. There is nothing wrong with the Dennis Wick as such, but it does have an effect on the tuning in the lower and higher register, pulling all the notes up below the stave. No such problems with this one.

Perfect wah mute.

Seems to be one of the best wah mutes. Nice sound and good quality.

A bit heavy but there is no problem with that.

Jo-Ral Copper Trumpet Bubble mute

Excellent mute , well worth the extra money compared to other similar mutes. It plays with a nice loud, clear and warm tone and intonation is pretty good to. Lets hope it becomes the industry standard.
