Journey Instruments FF412C Reviews
One MAJOR problem
Really impressed with the guitar as a whole and its a great concept. But the case is just shy of 60cm tall... There are only two small airlines in the world that allow this is as a carry on. The vast majority allow a maximum of 55/56cm tall. So if you were to get checked (and it looks big - I do think you would get checked) then you would have to put it into check baggage which defeats the entire point. Very frustrating because its so close to perfect, but 2 inches too big
The Ultimate Travel Guitar
For a while I've searched for and have bought other makes of travel guitar but these have been just that. On returning home these have been confined to their bags for the next trip.
The Journey Instruments FF412C both plays well and sounds great and will be a go to guitar when at home where others with much higher price tags and supposed pedigree on offer.
My first introduction the the Journey Instrument products was playing a colleagues guitar, different model, I was immediately impressed. I had reservations regarding the removable neck but these have proved to be unfounded. The build quality and finish is top notch; fantastic value for the money.
In short and as having bought this guitar untried, couldn't be happier.
