Atmosphere is right, don't expect crazy loud reverb from this one

It's an overall nice reverb, I like Comet, which is basically a reverb tail with a flanger. The Shimmer is OK, but can sound harsh and fake. It's better to keep it at subtle settings. Plate and Spring also sound nice, Church sounds a bit fake. Eko-verb (delay+reverb mode) lowers your dry signal by a LOT, and the volume drop makes me avoid this setting.

This works best as a silent reverb with a long-ish tail. Dialing the Mix knob beyond 12 o'clock starts to lower your guitar volume, so you can't get the full dry signal followed by a big, full reverb. Also, the decay knob has a spot at around 9 o'clock, where it jumps from short to medium decay, without a lot of settings in-between.

It's a nice pedal that looks great on the pedal board (IT GLOWS!). I will keep this for the end of my chain, just to add some reverb to sweeten up my dry sound. However, I will also buy another reverb to get big woowing sounds for leads and epic cleans (have my eyes on the NuX Atlantic).

Good product

Good and affordable product. It is not the best, but will suffice for most players. You'll find a plethora of reverb types - which is good.

Joyo R-14 Atmosphere Reverb

Useful guitar pedal. Lots of options but most of effects you can not differ among each other except plate, church and spring. My impressions are made after one day of usage. Maybe I will change my mind after longer period . Don't get me wrong, plate, church and spring reverb are useful. Pedal quality excellent. Recommendation.

Versatile advanced reverb at a decent price

I bought this after seeing a few reviews on YouTube as my first standalone reverb pedal. I wanted to move away from my multi-effects unit as I'm getting frustrated with having to dig through all the menus to find the settings that are right for me.

I'm not going to go into all the individual sounds on this pedal as no-one ever plays with just one effect do they? It has loads of different types of reverb with easily adjustable parameters easily at hand. No digging through menu settings to change the sound I want.

The unit feels solid enough, it doesn't have the tank-like feel of a Boss pedal but I'm not going to be taking it to a warzone any time soon. I like the LED strip on the end too, it's a nice touch. I've bought this, the Aquarius Delay and the mini Molo-Trem at the same time and I can't say I'm disappointed with any of them. I would certainly consider buying a Joyo pedal again and will keep an eye out for new releases.

Nice Futuristic-Looking Reverb

I use this in my FX loop for ambient clean tones and to spice up distorted leads and for that this pedal works well enough.

PROS:

Has some nice usable effects, though some aren't so much.

The lights are super cool, and the pictures only show a slight glow, which in person is super bright and I really like that.

CON:

Turning the pedal on/off makes a loud click go through the signal which is a bit annoying. It could just be the old wiring in the building I rehearse with my band in, but still, other pedals don't make anywhere near as loud clicking noise as that.

Its a nice little toy, although relatively "expensive" imo

its a flashy box, build quality looks OK...not very strong. there are 9 different types of reverb. all usable, all tweakable, some sound fantastic, some sound thin and digital to my ears, no different than cheaper reverb pedals.

I ended up selling mine, I dont need these many options.

Full-pack reverb with shimmer

This pedal has a lot of options to make some cosmic/psychedelic sound and I was especially interested in "shimmer" mode. As other reviewers pointed, it indeed has an unpleasant resonance in mid frequencies that make a sound muddy. You can find a safe tone by playing with filter knob

Cool pedal that could use

I used the pedal with humbuckers and single coils thru a fender blues junior 4. The sounds were cool, but a bit samey, and the reverb was pretty muddy. It was not a clear modulation or tremolo for instance, but it sort of blended together in a mish mash. Would recommend for at beginner or someone who's never used reverb, but once you tried better reverb sounds, it feels pretty lackluster compared to a hall of fame that's only a bit more expensive.

The casing was very light and it felt like it wouldn't last on a tour.

Versatile and pretty out-there too.

I have used this device with a 12-string guitar in a duo with an electric harpist. We make ethereal music that evokes space and cosmic vibes (man).

Detailed demos will show you the basics of what it can do. You will have to find out for yourself just how subtle the settings can be, as the results will be different for every instrument and musician. Basically, though, it's about loveliness and dwelling on dreamy sounds.

What we have here is a collection of good reverbs, some quirky variations on the reverb theme, and a widely adjustable shimmer that pretty much justifies the price on its own.

I have compared the quality of the basic reverbs and the shimmer with lo-fi units; it's in a different class altogether. Compared with the kit that we drool over: OK, there's amazing stuff out there, but in a real gig situation the Joyo will blow people's minds and they won't be wondering whether a £300 unit would have done it better.

From now on I'm going to be using mine on the "wet" output of a MEL9 and applying other devices on the guitar signal. That's until there's another change of mind...

For presets we would have to pay more. So write down your settings and take 10 seconds to set them! It's not hard.

Seriously, if you wish to explore the potential of reverb in your music, consider this amazing, delightfully affordable box of wonders.

I Love it!

Really great reverb pedal with some really great and original tones. I have it on permanently and it adds so much to my sound. I love it.

Incredible value for the money!

Got this as my first reverb pedal, it was either that or the boss rv6, and trust me, while this will now beat the boss, it comes really close for half the money.

Robust case, awesome presets, usable sound in any mode, but dont expect ultra clean shimmer, it's usabale but not fantastic.

As downsides, it does not have stereo output, but i don't use that myself, and no battery compartment, so you need to have a power brick or daisy chain.

Still, i recommend this pedal to anyone looking for a good and versatile reverb for not a lot of money!

Lots of options

A LOT of reverbs in one pedal. They sound great

This pedal is a nice versatile reverb pedal which even has a bit of use as subtle versions of other pedals like a flanger/phaser mixed in with a few of it's effects. I especially like that it has a good amount of control over the mix level (goes from full dry to full wet signal) and complete control over the modulation details, from effect strength to trail lengths and "speed" of the beats. When you have it dialed in nicely it sounds great.

It would be a 5/5 pedal for sure apart from one issue. It has pretty serious issue where a good portion of the settings aren't particularly useable as the effect strength becomes too strong and "feeds back" on it's self too much. The sweet spot seems to be at a slightly dry mix with a short trail and most of the tone and modulation dialed out, at least on my particular one. It does need a bit more for the shimmer setting to really work, but everything else has a very brittle and "feedback" sound to it.

All in all it's a good pedal and I'd still recommend it, however it might take some dialing in to get it where you want it.

Great features at a fantastic price point.

I needed a reliable reverb pedal to conplete my pedal board but didnt want to spend too much money. The Joyo Atmosphere is well built and robust and I imagine it will stand up to as much abuse as one would give a pedal. Various sounds and tones which are versatile - the addition of chorus, tremolo, phaser and delayed reverb effects is incredibly useful.

The only negative I can provide is that I dont like the syling of the chrome-esque knobs but other than that, a great pedal at a more than reasonable price.

Great Reverb Pedal

This pedal has a huge range of possibilities. I like all the different modes, they all have a unique sound and are very useful. By tweaking the modulation and tone knob you can dial in just the right reverb of your liking. This pedal is a lot of bang for your buck. The only downside I can come up with is that in some specific settings, some frequencies are quite loud and are a bit too dominant. You can easily adjust the settings to get rid of this. 10/10 would recommend.
