Blew my mind outa the box

This amp is pretty something else! I thought I was gonna hate this little thing like I hate the orange micro terror but oh no! it really surprised me how good the clean AND the dirt channel sound.

I only regret not getting the ZombieII for the footswitch capability.

but everything else is just splendid!

Nice Amp but Mediocre Headphone Out

My main purpose for buying this was to practice with headphones. It sounds ok with headphones but not great. It can be a bit muddled.

I tried connecting the effects send to the effects return on my Boss Katana 100 and used the headphone jack on the Katana and it sounds a bit better.

I tested connecting the effects send to the input on my audio interface (Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen) and used some impulse responses, and this way sounded great! This sounded like what I was expecting! If you plan to buy this to record with it, I think this method works great and you'll be very happy with it!

Overall, it's a great little practice amp, I just wish the headphone emulation was better. I haven't actually used it with a cabinet yet so I can't comment on that but my expectation is that it would sound good through a cab, as so many videos on youtube demonstrate.

Amazing value for the price

I was looking to get cheap set up for my home studio for amateurish music production as I was tired of amp sims. This amp sounds so good and massive for this small size. Build quality is excellent, it feels good in hand. Big advantage is its portability.

Negative thing is the cab simulation that sounds terrible and also bluetooth is streamed in mono, not really great and kind of useless. So this amp must be used with proper cabinet through which it excels. Another inconvenience is replacement of the tube, but it is a minor problem as the preamp tubes lasts quite a long. Chassis screws can be reused twice, and must be handled carefully not to mess the holes. Also its sad that there is no footswitch jack, but for those who can solder, its easy to make it by yourself.

In conclusion, this amp is only amp and it does its job very well. All the additional functions are poor and pretty much useless.

Very nice sound, in a small package

Finally decided to upgrade from my cheap practice amp to a Amp Head + Cab, and man, Am I glad, the sound is much better, got a FX Loop in the process, and the metal sound (which is the one I dial every single time!) is killer.

However, for US-based customers, the DC Adapter is on the European outlet standard, so you will need a plug adapter from your favorite hardware store to make it work in the US. (But even that taken into account, for the price, it's still a steal).

Combined with a Harley Benton Vintage G112, the sound is awesome, loud enough to annoy the neighbors, and you get an FX Loop for effects. (And the clean) channel is clean enough for pedals, should you decide to use a Metal Zone

A killer practice amp

I think it is a very good amp specially when you consider the price, Im just gonna point the good and the bad I see in this amp:

The good

This amp its very light and portable, so I can take it out for practice easily, it also offers tons of gain, It is also loud enough for band practice imo.

The bad

I think the only problem I have with this amp is that I wish it could offer more control over the eq dial, sometimes I feel I can not quite get the sound Im looking for, the versatility tonewise of this amp gets limited by the fact that you only have a single "tone dial" but if you consider this is more of a practice amp and for such price that shouldn't matter much anyway.

Overall I think if you play metal only and like the tone out of this amp you should go for it.

Feature packed with a slight minus.

If it only had a bit better tone control it actually could have been used for band rehearsals.

However, theres too little control over the mid for that.

Run through my ENGL PRO 2x12 the sound is basically almost only lows and highs.

But for home rehearsals it's excellent.

Budget Mesa

Great little amp, sounds massive and yes, loud enough to play along with drums, tested with 4x12 cab. Only thing this amp lacks is a footswitch

zoMBie miniamp

Good and not so good. For home use is very ok, 20w is all what is needed in bedroom. However I have 16 ohm not 8 ohm 1x12" cab and this tiny amplifier is more suitable probably with 8 ohm cab`s. In a rehearsal room 20w with 16 ohm cab is not loud at all.

What I dont like so much: sound is more like solid state, definitely not like tube amp. Is this tube inside only for cosmetic reason or....? Sound from headphones is average. Bluetooth option back tracking sound is also average. Gain is same after 11.00

What I do like, sound for metal or hard rock is quite ok. It IS VERY lightweight and small, can be perfectly used as backup amp if mic`d. Built quality seems quite well also. Clean is quite ok, nobody will probably not use it but it is ok. And with 16 ohm cab, well suitable for home use, even in max volume. Bluetooth option is nice to have. Effects loop. Low cost.

Overall nice home amp, bluetooth is big plus if you like to jam with back track`s- that`s the main reason why I will keep it. But dont expect it sound as tube amp will, there is no depht, sound is not very "live". Can?t explain better, you just have to try it.

Good things come in small packages

This little heavy metal tube amp has a big sound. It's incredibly easy to use, has little noise, even with the gain cranked to 11. It also sounds great (played through a Celestion V30). I love that the clean channel gain can almost be cranked to max without breaking up. That's great for putting my own OD or distortion pedals into it.

All the features work well and are easily utilized, save one.

The speaker cab emulation you get from the headphones sounds boomy and brittle. Definitely not the nicest of sounds, but reasonable for practice uses.

There are only two things that hold this thing back from being perfect. 1) A foot switch and 2) The need of a tube screamer (or another boost/overdrive). Other than that it sounds really good on its own (sounds great with an overdrive) and it's a good value for money.
