Lowest height of 600mm works great for digital piano

Am really pleased I went with this K&M 18953 stand as part of my Kawai-120B creative bundle. Due to under piano legroom considerations, I ruled out X-stand. Was leaning towards Z-stand but opted for table stand after taking into account the digital piano's width and potential overhang. Settled on this table stand mainly due to the lowest height of 600mm compared to 670mm of other (cheaper) table stands. The stand is extremely stable, has great build quality and provides comfortable playing sitting down when the digital piano is placed on it (set at its lowest height of 600mm). Personally I don't think it'd have worked out if I'd gotten another stand with the lowest possible height of 670mm.

Rugged and stable

I love K&M gear: it is so sturdy and well-made that you just know that when the apocalypse comes, all of the K&M microphone and instrument stands will survive with barely a scratch ! This keyboard stand is no exception: it is just heavy enough to be rock-solid while still being light and compact enough to be transportable. If you can "set-and-forget" the leg height, it should be possible to set it up and tear it down with minimal faffing around. Something that isn't clear from the product description is that it comes with stick-on rubber pads to sit between the metal surface of the stand and the bottom of the keyboard, so that the keyboard doesn't slide around. It also comes with three Velcro cable-ties. Small things, but those were unexpected and welcome bonuses. It's not the prettiest thing in the world and I was tempted by the Omega Pro which (IMHO) looks better. But this one is lighter, cheaper and seems like it might be more stable). I'm very happy with it.

It's just a thing that does the job

I hate those cross legged stand and was looking for a heavy duty (it had to hold up to 30kg digital piano) and comfortable (empty space in front of leggs) and good looking stand for a room in a house, not studio. This one is just perfect for this - stable and sturdy, comfortable and good looking stand. Nothing to add.

Ideal stand for 88 note keyboards

This stand is solid as a rock. I have a Korg Nautilus 88 (depth 386mm, width 1437mm) sat on it and it couldn't be a better match as it looks tailor made for it.

A deeper keyboard might be better suited to the K&M 18950.

I was initially torn between the 18950 (which is deeper and is adjustable in width) and this one (18953).

For the Korg Nautilus 88 I made the right choice.

Mine is for home use only but if you need it as a gigging musician, each pair of legs fold flat for easy storage and carriage if needed.

The engineering quality is simply superb. Very happy with it.

Best Stand I've ever owned

At first I was hesitant towards table stands because I know they tend to be flimsy and have thin legs which provide less support than a Z type stand. But since I have prior experience with K&M I ordered one.

I gotta say, this is THE MOST STABLE stand I've owned. It just oozes stability and solidity, on top of a premium look and feel. I had a Roland Z stand beforehand, which had some sideways movement. However this guy is a ROCK, 0 movement to either size. I've got a Kawai ES920 on top, in a certain position that has no buzz from the internal speakers. I wish I had bought it years ago actually...

Best keyboard stand !

This keyboard stand is excellent in a Studio setting. It is very stable and has a small footprint. It is also collapsible and can be used for gigging as well.

Solid Stand

So far so good. I bought this stand to support my Viscount Physis Piano K4 EX which is a pretty heavy 88 keys master controller. The only cons is that the manual is not pretty clear on how to secure the stand but I figured out.

Perhaps the best on the market for a single keyboard

I'm currently in the process of retiring my K&M 18953 simply because I've started stacking synths, and single stands aren't a good option when it comes to space optimisation.

That being said, this one had been reliable for years now, and a perfect fit for my Kawai VPC1.

I wouldn't call this stand's add-ons perfect, but if you only plan on using the stand itself without stackers, etc, then I'd gladly call the K&M 18953 perfect, because it has been for me.

Great Stand

Sits perfectly at seat level and very sturdy. I like that it came with the velcro, good for tying the keyboard cables out of sight.

Quality!

K&M know what they're doing when it comes to stands! I use their mic stands and sax stands and wouldn't use anything else!

This keyboard stand is the business! Heavy weight, rock solid, will not budge, and you can get your legs underneath it! I use it in the studio and on stage and it held everything from a light Nord Electro to a heavy Hammond X5. I've also put a black board onto and used it as a table on stage too! Definitely recommend this stand!

Solid As Usual from K&M!!

Bought this for my CP4 at home. I have a few K&M stands, and this one is also of great quality. I don't buy other hardware. It is heavy, but if I needed to gig it, I would. Cheers Mike

Does the job perfectly

Pros

- Very solid and sturdy when setup - Doesn't move or wobble in any way

- Easy to use - A little fiddly when tightening and undoing feet, but that's necessary to keep it secured so well

Cons

- None

Perfect for under a desk with the NI Komplete Kontrol S61

This stand is excellent. Easy to put together, fold up, sturdy and has leveling pads on each leg. I couldn't be happier.
