Super stable small stand

Stand base is very heavy which gives stand superb solidity. With short legs it is easier to fit in the middle of drumstands.

I prefer this stand to kick drums and snare bottoms, but with some drummers it also rises high enough for snare top.

K&M Short Stand

I've been using this stand for live kick drum mic'ing. I play a lot of pub shows on small, cramped stages so needed something low-profile and solid- this K&M stand meets that criteria perfectly. The legs are plenty long enough to give a good stable base, and you can tuck it away to the side of the kick between the spurs to minimise stage space. The boom arm has an ample amount of extension available. Typical of K&M, the build quality is fantastic- so far this stand has been subject to a lot of abuse but it shows absolutely no signs of wear and all still works perfectly.

I'd personally prefer the metal bar style fastener instead of small plastic knob on the pivot section, but this is because I use a heavy mic and the extra leverage would be really handy- the plastic knob is still great quality and doesn't feel at risk of breaking any time soon. Depending on where your kick port is, you might also need a slightly taller stand than this one- although this model is also great for mic'ing guitar amps, bass cabs and the under-side of the snare.

Durable, Convenient.

I bought two of these in addition to a handful of 210/6 boom stands. Very convenient for amps, kicks and snares, saving space and giving you more flexibility with mic placement. Reassuringly heavy - these things aren't light! I've been using mine for a year or so and have had no problems at all - certainly worth spending more for quality!

Excellent K+M quality and at low prices - recommended

Heavy, Compact and Solid

This stand is high quality. The base is extra heavy and the stand is very stable.

I bought it for recording the kick drum. Maybe the height could be a little higher as some holes are higher than this stand, however, you can rotate the outside skin to lower the hole. Not really a problem, but something worth thinking about, and measuring.

So good I am ordering another two to use as guitar cab mic stands. They are small and compact but will extend high high enough with the telescopic boom to be able to position the microphone in front of any speaker in large cabs.

My go-to short stand.

Worth every penny. Cheap stands will break, these won't. Really heavy and really solid. The telescopic arm has a good reach especially good when micing up drums when space is tight to place the stand further out and extend the arm in.

Solid well built microphone stand!

Wanted a small stand for micing my snare, this is perfect! Really well built but at the cost of being fairly heavy
