Perfect for Base Drum

Most of the mics that are for base drum are on the heavy side, I use it extended with EV RE20 and Shure 52 and did the job without losing it's position, once we set it up and and it didn't move at all for 3 days lock out with a heavy metal band.

It's s staple in low microphone stands and does its job well.

Just what I needed. At a cost

I've needed some sort of stand for my Boss EQ pedal so it's within easy reach without me having to kneel down on the floor to fiddle with the settings. I have tried one of the cheap ones but they couldn't cope with the weight of the tablet holder (which I use as a holder for the EQ 20) and the pedal itself. I've just set up this stand (combined with the counterweight) and it's perfect.

The whole thing moves easily and (with the counterweight) it's really well-balanced. The base is really sturdy and it's heavy, as the description states. There's not struggling to tighten anything up to cope with the weight of the pedal and its mount. Everything feels... right. It just works. It's not difficult to move, it's stable, nothing is loose, everything is... it's just right.

It wasn't cheap, but the quality you get with K&M is exceptional. When you figure the cost of the boom arm itself, it helps justify the outlay. The counterweight is a brilliant addition, but adds about another 25-30% on top of the initial outlay. Not cheap, but exactly what I needed.

Don’t drop this on your foot!

There used to be a sherry advert shown on UK TV, the tagline for which was ‘one instinctively knows when something is right’. Pick this stand up and it just oozes quality of construction from every nut and bolt. Just don’t drop it on your foot!

Does the job

Not much to complain about. It does what it's supposed to.

Very well made!

I have several K&M stand products. They are all well made. This is no exception. Suitable for guitar amps or for use on a desk, the base of this stand is heavy and has a low center of gravity. There a plenty of adjustments to get the angle and length right. Consider purchasing a swivel adapter if you intend to use it with a stereo bar.

Great little stand

I got two to use for field recording. Very sturdy and strong. Can't fault them. Use them very frequently.

Solid. Nothing more to say on the matter. Just a quality piece of gear.

Great Stand

I use this stand mainly for mic'ing the Kick Drum in the studio.

Also been used once or twice on Amps.

Good Quality. Nice and stable and adjustable.

No drooping.

Mic stand for my Bass drum

So I got this, so I can have a nice mic stand for my bass drum.

I use it with K&M 19695-300 Ball joint, which allows me to have my stand parallel to my drum kit and my microphone looking directly on my bass drum saving space.

It feels really solid and the base feels heavy, in comparison to the size of it, making it a really stable mic stand.

I use it for a Se electronics T2 microphone, and it really took my zero effort to position it and lock it to place.

It was an excellent choice for my studio

Sturdy and will get your mic where you want it

The bottom part is heavy and will not move around easily. The boom has a lot of length to offer if needed, but the stand can also be placed in a small space. All of the adjustments hold really well without having to force them in place. Very well designed and good quality.

K&M quality is immensely beyond the cheaper options and investing in this will likely be cheaper than end up buying several cheap ones.

Very sturdy mic stand

The K&M stands are a classic. Very flexible but sturdy. With some care, they last very long too. Can't go wrong here!

Solid and HEAVY as a tank!

This feels like one of the best stands I ever used. The quality is superb, and the base is so heavy that this isn't going to go walking no matter how much the ground shakes!!!

Best small stand I've ever owned

Very useful for micing kick drum and amps. Very sturdy and strong.

Great stand

Perfect stand. I'm using it for kick and/or snare bottom microphones. Very stable, solid and easy to adjust.

Great quality i'm used to having from K&M, will probably never buy another brand of microphone stands.

Reliable quality

Perfect for miking a kick drum, or close miking any instrument played sitting down such as an acoustic guitar. K&M stands never seem to fail, and are sturdy without being bulky. Great!
