Keeley Compressor Plus Reviews
Easy to use
I have tried no other compressor, so my opinion is based a bit on ignorance, but this is a great sounding and easy to use pedal.
Keeley compressor
A great quiet compressor from Keeley! I got this for my Rickenbacker 360-12 and it brings out the best sound of my 12 string. Great unit!
I expected something else
It just wasn't right for me, sounded a bit flat, the single coil setting raised the volume against the clean setting, the humbucker setting made it quieter than the clean setting which I find weird
Great comp, great price
This is great comp for those that want to set-and-forget or may some adjustments if needed. Solid build with a very necessary Blend knob to mix in your dry signal.
Great sounding, easy to understand compressor
This is an easy to understand compression pedal.
The controls have a good range to them and produce a great sound all the way from subtle changes to turning things to the max. And due to the great range I never even find myself going to the extremes of the knobs.
The inclusion of the single coil and humbucker switch is a very nice thing to have... it simply works to change the characteristics to suit the pickups.
The build quality is great. I feel this product will last me for years if not a lifetime.
You need this compressor.
With all the features you'll ever need and how it sounds, this is all the compressor you'll ever need. You can make it sound discreet but effective or obvious but still sound sweet. It's all up to you. I love this compressor.
The first compressor I've ever kept
After owning at least five other famous compressor pedals this Keeley might be the one I finally stick with. The blend control is the best feature on it, it lets you add your regular signal alongside the compressed one. I find myself using this regularly for some clean parts, slide solos or just ot tighten up and make a particular riff stand out over the band. A really great pedal and one that I hope to get more and more use out of. I believe it might even help my musicianship
Fantastic.
The effect you didn't know you needed. Compresor is a great tool. Very subtle. The Keeley is silent, versatile, easy to use and configure.
Quality compressor - some personal cons
Really quality product. Liked the features and the sustainer options a lot. I personally didn't get the sound I wanted from my Hss strat (Got more high frequencies in my ears). Works better with humbuckers, in my opinion. The problem for me is that I have single coils and a humbucker on my strat. So, I have to switch the compressor's toggle, every time I switch from single coils to the humbucker, to get the best sound I can get. Not the best thing to deal with. Otherwise, I must say it is a really cool compressor.
Squishy a-plenty
I went for this compressor because it had presets for single coil and humbuckers, meaning I didn't need to worry about every parameter. Just plug in and go! Now I've used a compressor, I hear why it's a nice addition to clean tones. Just a touch makes them more juicy. The blend pot is great as you can mix how much of the effect and the dry signal get through. Simple and effective!
Nice clean tone
Perfect to beef up my clean tone
Nice quality compressor
This is a nice quality guitar compressor. There are certainly better compressors out there but the Keeley is always a safe choice, easy to use and very reliable on a pedal board. To be honest the Keeley is rarely my first choice in the studio but it's perfect when I need something simple that just WORKS for gigs.
Bass players should look elsewhere though. The Keeley has too much low end roll off for bass.
Keeley good compresser
This is a great compressor. There's not much more to say. I mainly use it with its 'always on' settings, and really like the impact it has on my clean tone in particular. If you're looking for a compressor, this one is certainly worth investigating.
Amazing!
Excellent pedal, it does its job very well without dirtying the tone of the guitar, I use it together with the clean channel 100% recommended.
High Quality Compressor
This pedal, first in the pedal chain in my setup, is almost never off. It certainly has a major role in my clean tone sound of both my Telecaster (in the single coil setup) and my Les Paul (in the Humbucker setup).
I use the blend knob around 11 o'clock to limit the compression amount so it wouldn't kill to much of the dynamics that are coming from the guitar. Some people might want to turn it more, maybe up to 12 or 2 a clock, but it is quite of matter of tastes.
Certainly improves the sustain, this being the reason why it is never off in my solo tones.
Would totally recommend!
Really solid, old school compressor.
This pedal has a really nice vibe to it. Despite being a pretty simple box it has a couple of nice touches that make it stand out. Having a blend dial lets you opt for a more natural sound while the tone control helps counteract that darkness that comes with a lot of compressors. Theres's also a switch for humbucker and single coil modes that effects the attack and release times, All in all a really nice pedal, subtle in its effect but I wouldn't be without it.
High quality and highly customisable tone
This pedal is the best you can get when it comes to a Compressor Pedal at this price point. The parameters included make sure you can go from anywhere from lightly compressed to heavily compressed.
Best compressor ever made
This is the best compressor pedal I have ever had. It made my tone instantly that much better. This is an always on pedal for me.
Τhis is an excellent compressor. I would recommend it to anyone for any instrument
Easily makes a difference in my signal
plug my acoustic or electric guitar, i can actually see the recorded signal difference in my software, this thing makes the sustain longer, i can hear each string clearer, must have for every pedal!
