Kemper Profiler Stage Reviews
King
This is king of modern guitar sound
Stunning in every way!!!
A very high quality made device that has all the features that a guitarist needs to realize their sound.
Amplifiers: A huge number of amplifiers and the ability to change the cabinet can help you achieve the desired tone and of course subtlety of the amp settings to bring everything to the ideal for any guitar and style. (Play with definition and clarity settings in Amp section)
Effects and stomps: Post and pre effects sound great, and being able to arrange them however you want allows the fantasy to run wild.
The input and output settings will help you fine-tune the volume in live performances and in the studio. The input sensitivity setting is ideal for your playing style and diffirent pickups on your guitar.
Software: Rig Manager will perfectly help you to set up your presets from your device (PC or IOS)
The only thing that can cause inconvenience here is that there is no support for Android but on PC Windows 10 or higher.
Everything else is very cool!
If someone chooses between other devices, I can say one thing, you won’t go wrong with it) Yes, you can’t build a chain here like Axe FX or Quad cortex, but here the choice is yours what is your priority!
This is big world of guitar sound for you! Just enjoy)
Great Unit, not for Technophobes
This is a very high quality product with endless options. But probably a bit complicated for most guitarists.
Great product!
Being using tube amps for around ten years, but kemper didn't let me down.
Ultimate sound
Kemper stage is one of the best piece of equipment that I have ever bought. The quality of the profiles from time junkie and Michael Britt are identical to the real amps and the feeling when playing is really awesome. If you want the amp in the room sound you should buy a power amp and a cab as you won’t get it from studio monitors or an frfr cab. Totally recommend it both for studio and live.
More than practical
Practicality at the service of quality!
Sounds perfect, very useful, lackluster software
In my opinion, the best modeler out there. With a good (and big enough) FRFR monitor I don't miss my tube amps, and literally almost any sound can be dialed in.
It's a toaster Kemper inside a pedalboard, so it's also as compact as it can be. Possibly the best tool for a working guitar player or anyone who likes their sounds to be multiple, lightweight and easy to build. Effects sound good and there is the flexibility to build almost any rig you want.
The cons are mainly due to the not immediate controls on the front panel, accompanied by a software that is not that great. Dialing sounds and organizing presets is not as quick as it could be, and the screen is small. Plus, I had a not-so-great experience with their customer support, leaving me unable to use the App for a while, just telling me to "wait for the next update". However, once your sounds and banks are all set, the machine sounds phenomenal.
Sounds incredible
Im long time fractal user. I have both Axe FX 3 and Axe Fx 2XL. When Kemper stage arrived and I hooked it up to my studio monitors, the feel was incredible. I get more amp like feeling from the unit. Its my first week and Im loving the product. Rig Exchange and the whole community is incredible. There are so many free rigs to use, and paid ones as well if you are shooting for a specific amp.
Kemper stage is very suitable for live gigs. Im ordering the bag as well right now.
Input Output connections are well thought. There are so many different options to operate it with different studio or live setups.
Best purchase ever!
I took the big step and traded my trusty tube amp and pedalboard for the Kemper Profiler. I have been using it for about half a year now and I'm very glad I made the switch. It's far more versatile than my old set-up, and also sounds better. In the beginning it takes a lot of getting used to, not just because of the sound but also the many options you get with this unit. It's worth it though!
Great Amp Tool
Pros: The portability and being able to bring your rig anywhere, requires less tweaking and being able to try out snapshots of great amps
Cons: Learning curve takes time
Kemper Profiler Stage is not the usual amp modeler, in fact its not meant to be an amp modeler but instead its a tool for preserving rare, delicate and fragile amps and at the same time the capability of trying out snapshots of different and discontinued amps
Top notch
Everything has already been said about this awesome piece of gear...incredible! All the sounds you're looking for are here inside, you just have to look for them. Endless online resources, great customer support, compact, light, perfect mate for playing at home or your gigs.
The profiler is amazing for live and studio situations. The quality is good but not what i expected for this price tag. I had to send it back because it was faulty from the factory. I hope the one they send back is ok. Other than that it is the best one i've tried so far. I recommend it 100%
Amazing device
Very robust and great sounds already provided with the factory rigs.
It takes a little time to figure out all the buttons and knobs but then it makes all sense. Using the latest Rig Manager software on a desktop computer is also a great help as the display is rather small for spending some on tweaking stuff.
Very happy with the product - it saved me carrying tons of gear to the gigs :)
I can fully recommend it!
It's Kemper,Nothing bad to say
I am axe fx ii user too,Joined the Kemper group few months ago.
Kemper is more easy to use,and get a great sound easily than axe fx ii.
Both of them sounds amazing, but Kemper is more easy too handle IMO.
One bad thing is Kemper can not edit the chain like Fractal do,But it's still cool,Because less is more. : )
Almost perfect
I'm gonna go ahead and skip to the negatives straight away because there are only a few. The rest are positive and in general, I totally recommend this product.
1) Some glitches here and there that are always getting fixed by the kemper team with software version updates. This makes the profiler a bit unreliable in live situations but the longer this product is being released the fewer glitches will exist. Onward and upward.
2) The handling of the Rig Manager is weird. While the profiler is very easy to use and change things on the fly, its software is one of the worst. Many times I am saving rigs at the wrong place and losing rigs by mistake or thinking that I saved some rigs and it ends up I didn't. This did not happen once or twice. It is the way the rig manager works. This makes me want to use the actual stage profiler instead of the software because it is more user-friendly than the actual software. I am patiently waiting the kemper team for fixings on the software keeping in mind the ease of use.
Other than that the stage profiler is perfect. User-friendly with big enough HUD to be able to navigate through different screens, sturdy built and great sound quality, and I love its looks as well.
As I said before this is the only downsides to this magnificent product. I recommend it to every guitarist and maybe even bass players, but I haven't checked the bass sounds so I don't really know
Great product, but for live using unusable.
Some buttons (1 and 3, and only these) in perform mode don't work well. Very often I have to press them more then 1 times (sometimes more then 10 times ! ). So for live purposes unusable. Will get back, if not solved (probably firmware problems). Unfortunately, it sounds great.
Rich sound, poor UI
I like the sound, but this device is totally user unfriendly. Tons of knobs. I spend more time on youtube with kemper tutorials rather than actually playing a guitar. Contact me if you want to improve usability of your product, I live in Germany.
Tweaks of effects are quite poor too and doesn't reflect standard effects knobs.
P.S. From time to time I can hear noises. I dunno whether it's kemper's defect or not. I just wait every time until they dissapear
