Korg EK-50 Reviews
Roland EK-50 for all occasions.
I bought it because it is light, has very good sounds ( more than I expected by pressing the shift button for editing) and sounds good and loud through its speakers. I wasn’t expecting so many sounds and so good touch on the keyboard (considering its a synth). And the pianos are great. I have it long time with mooving it around a lot and hitting it and there is no problems. Very easy for use right on the stage. There is only two thing I don’t like. You can’t use the sustain pedal for the lower voice and when unpressing the pedal slowly the sound stops instead of degrease the sustain of the sound slowly . Excellent entertainment keyboard with excellent price.
Great piece at a reasonable price
As a beginner, I don’t really have much to say about the features and other stuffs but one thing that is certain is that it is a very good keyboard with an amazing great voices and everything a beginner and or intermediate players need and it was properly handled in transit. It delayed a bit but that’s no big deal as it eventually arrived. The customer care and the tracking department did very well by responding promptly to my mails and concerns especially Mr. Christopher Mellin, He is good at what he does and deserve a raise.
Overall, I would recommend this keyboard for solo players who want to receive great sounds at a reasonable price.
Tolles Werkzeug!
I am really happy with the keyboard
As a beginner, maybe my rating is not so meaningful, but these are my thoughts:
- Really nice keybed
- Easy to operate
- Good sound
- My only BUT is that, in general, all voices have a little bit too much reverb for my taste. I haven't investigated yet on the effects, I assume I will be able to tweak this a little bit.
Great low budget solo playing keyboard!
I would recommend this keyboard for solo players who want to receive great sounds at a reasonable price.
This is not really an arranger keyboard, but an entertainer keyboard.
Is it worth buying
I was really looking forward to my EK 50,but unfortunately somewhat disappointed. Firstly the Grand Piano needs to be turned right up and backing tracks right down for it to compete, and its sound is a long way from grand. My ancient Korg M1 is much better. Secondly in this day and age of sampled sounds why can't harmonicas, trumpets etc actually sound like them ,rather than some fake synthesized sound. Lastly it may have numerous sounds, but the majority you would never ever use.And after an hour I turned off the backing band who sound like a bunch of bored musicians on their day off. Ok I suppose I was expecting too much from a budget keyboard, and the competition is probably not much better, but I wish I had saved my money and purchased a piano,I mean a real piano. Was it worth it ? only just.
Excellent device, but
Sheet music holder is something a Korg designer should work on - can't hold a tablet. From design perspective nice-looking, from practical standpoint quite useless.
