Great toy

I think of the microkorg as the essential digital synth. To me it sounds better than anything not analogic, and sometimes also better than those!

Warm Sound

Nice warm sound. A true classic synth!

Cons: Mini keys, no USB, difficult handling for a beginner

The classic microKORG. It has everything, it does everything. The interface is user-friendly and not difficult to understand. The sounds are quality. Great little synth.

Great tool to have in the studio

I use it as a midi controller and it does the job perfectly. Also, the synth part is very unique and it has an analogue feel, which we all love.

I just want to say ONE thing about MicroKorg:

Every musician should have one.

One of the best sounding synths especially for dry drum and bassey sounds! Not easy to edit sounds because of the interface but with a controller or editor and can be done ok. Get it now as it lasts! It will shorly be a classic.

Excellent Korg Classic

Took me a long time to decide on the Microkorg but eventually decided to get one. I loved the retro design of this synth compared to the micro xl which looked a bit bland.

However a synth is about more than just good looks. Sound wise it did not disappoint, it's filled with blistering leads, atmospheric pads and cutting basses. These can all be adjusted in real time using the mod and pitchbend wheels along with the knobs positioned at the top of the keyboard.

It's a solid machine, the casing seems to be a tough plastic, the knobs have a retro styling and the keyboard although mini keys feels a bit spongy but solid to play. Some maybe put off by the 4 note polyphony compared to the XL 8 note, however the sound quality and look of this machine is addictive and inspiring.

I'm looking forward to playing this synth a lot over the coming months. A true modern classic that won't disappoint.

I spend my first 4 hrs with the micro connected to a volca beats, Arp Odyessy and an MS - 20 mini and it was heaven.

Pros, great set of sounds and effects, easy to navigate and play and it looks great in the flesh.

Best mini synth ever!

Its the best mini synth.I like my microkorg its so handy,powerful and handsome gear.I use for hiphop but useful and powerful for every genre.You can use everywhere i mean outside,studio with gig whatever you want.Best choice also very good price for such a unique gear.

A really versatile keyboard.

This keyboard can make just about any synth sound you'd want it to make. Obviously it doesn't have anything like piano but that isn't what this keyboard is designed to do. It does, however have a pretty good electric piano imitation. Some of the bass sounds that come out of it are absolutely huge and are ridiculous coming out of such a small package. All in all, it sounds great.

Korg microKORG

Korg micro korg is one of the best instruments that I have bought reclenty. It really is a toy, that you can used it in each style of music. It have a great tone, a 1000 effects. I really use it every day.

This was a great price and is a great synth. It's easy to use for professional use as well as for beginners as it has a range of easy to dial-in presets.

this micro Korg is a dream come true ? it has a nice price and it makes all worth it

it can work as a midi controller to Live Ableton (others i dint tried) you can really modulate the sounds and work them as you like and save them, also the vocoder is a nice retro effect yes an extra in all that this synth represents.

the effects are great and i do love the arpeggios on it, the delay is great to making the original sound bank almost unrecognizable. The sound bank that comes is huge and for dance music or pure electronic is a must, Korg made a very portable powerful machine with this one, really happy with this one.

A Fun and Easy to use Synth and Vocoder with plenty of features.

I purchased the Kork microKORG as my first synthesiser/vocoder, and I have not been disappointed in the slightest. Since the very first time using it, I have found it to be easy to navigate and intuitive, being able to quickly mould sounds either from scratch or using the inbuilt presets.

The vocoder aspect of the unit is of a good quality, not cheap and cheerful like you get with some other units at this price. The microphone has a good response, and is easy to connect to the unit quickly for setup and pack-up.

Sure, at this price, this is not the highest of build quality, the keys aren't the best and the body does have a plastic feel to it, but with the wood effect panels on the end of the unit I think it gives the unit a nice overall aesthetic.
