nanoKey2

Good small keyboard for the price. Unusual key layout lets it double as pads. But they are quite plastic to the touch.

For a small protable device it's good.

Useful

This tiny keyboard will never replace any serious instrument, but it’s still very useful for entering a few midi notes into yor daw or, as I mainly use it, for checking out and adjusting software sounds before I move to my 88 key Roland for recording.

The keys are a bit ”shallow” with a pretty uninspiring feel, but they serve their purpose. You get used to them after a while.

The underside of the device was slightly bent upwards, so it wouldn’t sit flat on my desk if it wasn’t for those tiny rubber pads in the corners. Not a big deal, but a bit weird, though.

ok for a beginner

it's quite cute and ok for a beginner. I tried using it on a drum plugin, but cannot make the bass drum work. good for keys and synths plugins though.

nice compact bit of gear

Very compact bit of gear, I use this with some (DIY) synth instruments. Compatibility is as advertised (used it on Win, OSX, Linux, iOS -garageband and Arduino Mega ADK) Touch sensitivity is working, but don't expect a lot of expressiveness there. Key size is large enough to play (sort of blind). Rather noisy. Anyway, good, robust, compact bit of gear.
