Does its job but rattles

I suppose it tunes just fine. But if you leave it on the headstock while you continue to play it rattles a lot. I don't know if other clip-ons have this but I would pick something else another time.

Sleek-looking and useful

I love this little thing. It looks stylish and sleeks, so I am not ashamed to have it clipped to my guitar. It glows bright enough and the tuner itself can lock on to notes quite fast without wobbling around. It's useful, always in my gigbag, and I am happy with this purchase.

Makes life much easier!

This is my first clip on tuner, and I use it for my Gibson Les Paul and Cuenca classical guitar. Makes life much easier and does a pretty good job of tuning both guitars. For my classical guitar I need to clip it on as close to the body as possible since I guess it doesn't efficiently capture the vibrations if it's clipped on at the end of the head stock. Regarding features, this tuner is quite straight forward, on-off switch and it's ready to tune! Have been using it for little over two months now and problem with the battery yet, however haven't used the auto turn off feature, I turned it off manually right when I am done tuning!

Unbeatable quality for the price

Got this to tune in a hurry without being plugged in, as I use a pitchblack pedal when I do.

This clip-on tuner is surprisingly small but does its job perfectly, even when checking with its bigger pedal brother. Response time is fast, and it tracks low A / B without issues. The display is very readable in a bright environment and not overpowering in the dark.

It would be 100% perfect if the display could rotate "up and down" as well, and there are sometimes some vibrations that can be heard coming from the unit when tuning (no influence on teh actual tuning accuracy).

All in all, can't beat it for the price, would recommend to anyone.

Perfect !

I've never been a fan of pitchclip tuners but this one is really good !

it's simple, easy and reliable

i haven't had much luck with clip-ons in the past but when a friend introduced me to this one i had to get me one. they're so easy and reliable. tuning with this and checking on multiple sources proved it accurate as well. Y'all know how a clip on tuner works and i believe this is one of the best you can get. It's easy and saves me time when i just wanna play without plugging everything in. I have no cons here, it just works both for my basses and guitars, that's all i need

Sturdy, Reliable, and very useful!

I've never had much success with clip-on tuners in the past, for reasons I still don't quite understand. This, however, has been working almost perfectly for me! Just clip it on and tune, no questions asked. My only three (very minor) complaints are: 1) it occasionally struggles to find pitches on the higher strings (which seems to be true of a lot of tuners, both clip-on and pedal), 2) it resonates/rumbles very unpleasantly while attached to a guitar's headstock, which makes it a bit uncomfortable to leave attached when not in use, and 3) it has turned itself off a couple of times during tuning. These are all very minor though, and their impact on doing what I need it to do has been minimal. A great purchase overall!

Brilliant & simple

Turns itself off to preserve the battery, has a clear and pleasant indicator to show if you're in tune and it's just so incredibly handy!

Good, but less care on packaging than PC1

I'm a long time user of PC1 other than DT1000 and Pitchblack Korg Tuners as well. Their products always had perfect quality and careful packaging at a good price. I see less care on packaging while price has gone up: clear plastic box instead of more common papercard, and some gimmicky "jewel" paper stand inside that also contains folded instructions and battery. Above all, no protective plastic film whatsoever was applied on tuner screen.

Functionally, I see no much difference in specs between PC1 and PC2; the new one looks slightly better and neater to the eye, everything else seems pretty much the same. Also, like the older version did, it might rattle when folded cause of the vibrations of the instrument.

Other than this, it's still my favourite clip tuner at this price point.

Very good tuner even for bassguitar

Very light and useful tuner, easy to read in dark. Only con is flimsy construction, you have to be careful when turning it on, the button is behind the LCD. It can tune even 5string bass (low B).

Great little tuner!

This little clip on turned out to be a GREAT tool. Its super compact and well built with great tone recognition and a bright screen, on top of that it does drop tunings making it the perfect guitar accessory to just throw in your gigbag or straight onto your headstock.

Works nice on 5/6 string basses

I just wanted a gadget to use at home and rehearsals. When gigging I am using a Pitchblack pedal tuner, since I had some uneven experience from previous clip-on tuners, and I wouldn't trust them for a gig.

Nonetheless, the PC-2 is certainly an improvement over anything else I've tried, excluding some very expensive (in comparison) options. First and foremost, it tracks the B string very well (as well as any other string, of course). The build quality is fine (I've dropped it a couple of times with no damage at all), and its pretty easy to read.

The only somehow annoying thing about it is that despite having the option to reverse the screen indications (so that you can place it in the back of the headstock), it makes you feel that this is not its "normal" mode, for two reasons:

a) you have to press the "on" button for a longer time (which would be ok if there was no point b), and

b) it does not store this preference (i.e. reverse mode), and you have to turn it on the same way (long-pressing the button) every single time.

In terms of functionality, I've used it in a rather noisy environment with no problems at all; I cannot however know if it would pick-up unwanted vibrations at a large stage (i.e. very loud PA), since I have not yet used it live. My guess is that it would work just fine.

Overall, I think that it's really great for the price, and it works really nice on bass. I'll probably get a second one as a back-up.

Does exactly what it's made for!

Looks really sturdy for its price and size. Good for taking it with you for travelling. Really fast operation. And what i love about it is is minimalistic design, shows exactly what you really need and nothing more. Recommend it for acoustics!

Nice but it rattles while playing

Very nice little tuner. Easy to use. Only thing that bothers me is that when I keep it on the headstock while playing it rattles noticeably (you hear that rattle sound). No problem, I'll just take it off after tuning :)
