KRK Rokit RP5 G4 5-stars Reviews
My first monitors
I love them. The sound is crisp and the lows are accurate, they donât take too much space and are very pretty!
Amazing speaker for a professional/home studio sound
First off, these babies are sleek. The RP5 G4 has got a black finish that looks killer in any setup. They're sturdy too â feels like they can take a knock or two without complaining. And the yellow cone? Iconic. Doesnât just look cool; it pumps out some serious sound. Speaking of sound, wow. These monitors give you the truth, no sugar-coating. The bass is deep and tight, not muddy at all. Highs and mids? Crystal clear. Whether youâre mixing down tracks or binge-watching your favorite series, these speakers have got you covered. Plus, with the built-in DSP, you can tweak the EQ to fit your room. Handy, right? KRK threw in some neat features with the G4 series. The LCD screen on the back is a game-changer â makes adjusting settings a breeze. You've got options for connecting your gear, so no worries whether you're using an interface, mixer, or straight from your laptop. Getting these set up is a no-brainer. Plug âem in, play around with the DSP settings to match your space, and youâre golden. They're pretty intuitive, so you won't need to spend hours figuring things out. For the quality and features you're getting, the RP5 G4s are seriously good value. Whether you're just starting out or looking to upgrade your home studio without breaking the bank, these should be on your radar. Final Verdict: The KRK Rokit RP5 G4 punches way above its weight. Great for anyone who cares about sound quality but isnât looking to sell a kidney for good monitors. They look cool, sound amazing, and wonât let you down, whether youâre making beats or just chilling to some tunes. Definitely a win in my book.
amazing
perfect monitors for studio work absolutely amazing sound quality
Having the EQ settings really helps. I was using another well known brand but without EQ settings, it was always boomy and bassy.
With this you have this app so you can measure and arrange according to your room.
No need to mention the sound quality, one of the industry standards.
Excellent monitors
Fantastic monitors, great audio separation, crisp and clean bass, excellent mids and highs and no distortion. Plenty of adjustments.
Perfect
As soon as I turned they on for the first time, I was really surprised by the clarity of the sound and the bass presence for such small speakers! I was discovering the sound of my Sony 's headphones Mdr 7506 in open environment with the same truth and precision! Unbelievable price/quality ratio!
Very well balanced sound, brilliant for mixing without the speakers colouring at all.
Excellent!
Versatile, great quality, used mine for years now and no issues.. Plenty options on EQ on the back to suit your needs
Amazing speakers
Good sound, features and GUI that's on that back of the speakers.
Awesome.
They look awesome and sound great. There is as ton of reviews on the internet but if you need near field that are super flat and have limited budget get this one, if you are crazy like me, get calibration software and hardware, and make them even better. I'm using Sonarworks. If you want awesome desk stands for them search the site for K&M 26772
Amazing monitors!
Before owning one of these, I was a bit sceptical due to what most people say about rokits being bass heavy and all that but, I will tell you this, these monitors sound incredible.
They are pretty flat for better audio mixing and referencing. They have a variety of options to fit one's preferences with the EQ options at the back of each monitor.
It all comes down to how good your room is in terms of acoustic treatment and your mixing capabilities. It's all a matter of taste, so I would recommend inperson listening test when choosing monitors because it's a longterm investment, and these are pretty durable and worth the investment for me.
Feel free to tell me your experiences with the Krk rokit rp5 g4
Nothing to worry about
Fabulous budget monitors with a lovely, detailed sound and extra features you might only find on much pricier models.
Best Studio Monitors for the price!!! That's why they're known as the #1 Studio Monitors in the World!!!
I'm a Musical Artist, Producer, Rap-Singer, Songwriter and Audio Engineer with a few years of experience. I do Hip-Hop, RnB, Pop, Afro and a fusion in between them depending on the vibe.
1. Frequency response - The first thing you would want to look at is the frequency response. These go from 43Hz to 40KHz that's a wide enough spectrum for you to get a good mix!
2. Price - The price is unbeatable with all the features included. It typically rivals the other studio monitors in it's price range!
3. The bass port is on the front and it's huge! Meaning you're getting minimum distortion on these!! Plus they have a built in Brick Wall Limiter to minimize the distortion even more!!!
4. Sound - They sound full, relatively flat and punchy. There aren't any perfectly flat studio monitors but these are well tuned for you to get a good mix in any genre. Can't complain there, even the highs are just nice, clear and extended, you can typically hear any nuances in the mix very easily! The sound can be trusted, that's why they're being used all around even in big studios I presume. Couldn't stop listening to them once I started, for real!!!
5. Features - A nice screen on the back for you to adjust your EQ settings and a press & scroll knob for adjusting the gain and flipping through the menu. There's a light indicator on the front when they're on and an App for you to see if you're positioning is at the best position for you and some room tuning but I wouldn't use that much cause we all know the phone's microphone doesn't really pick up sound that good. All in all, the features are great!
Final thoughts - Would definitely recommend them over and over. You get a good value for your money, trusted quality and sound, proven over and over how they get the job done and really affordable for the price. Try them out for yourself and make a conclusion.
Have a good one! Keep the music alive.
Great!
Great sound for a small form factor
Awesome - Insanely Good !
KRK Rokit RP5 G4
These monitors are awesome! - I concur!
Insanely good monitors for the price! - I concur!
Much wider frequency response than the official spec. suggests.
Low bass down into sub region without an extra sub woofer.
Low E on 4 string bass is apparently unattenuated.
Synthetic sub bass still strong.
Highs are clear and clean.
Sounds strong and punchy across the entire frequency range.
Bass is thumpy and not woolly, but not excessively either.
These sound incredibly loud in a small room - the sound really hits you.
I left all the adjustments at factory settings for a flat response - I will need to get my ears used to all the sounds I've not been hearing on any other monitors before making any changes. I did disable the Sleep Mode, however after other reviewers comments.
I've read all the other reviews, and wanted to check such things as:
Hiss.
No trace audible with the cable unplugged!
After reconnecting by cable to the Fun Generation RTA-31 and Vitaliser Mk2-T still no hiss until the Vitaliser Mk2-T warmed up and switched on the internal relay. Then a very slight hiss became audible.
No hiss was being produced by the monitor.
Crackles?
None detected - check your cables and connectors.
Clipping-Overload?
None detected, but check you aren't overdriving the input.
Insanely good monitors for the price
Soft and detailed sound and great calibration features. Must have for a home studio. Great value for money.
Good choice for beginners
Pretty flat frequency response, self-tuning, tight bottom. All in all, great studio monitors. I am very pleased with the presence of an equalizer that will help to rebuild the monitors for the room, and you can also install the KRK Audio Tools application on your smartphone, which can help with setting up and choosing a preset for EQ.
(In white they look even a little more attractive, so I bought them too!)
Great speakers, though EQ are not fully customizable
Great entry-level speakers, the highs are actually better than I expected. Sound stage and imaging are fairly good considering my room has poor acoustics. One little disappointment I have is that I thought the EQ was fully customizable since there was an LCD screen and the dial. But in reality it seems like that users can only pick between combinations of onboard EQ settings.
Switched over from JBL
I had been using a pair of JBL LSR305s since 2017. I bought them because they advertised flat response and reviews said the were good for mixing.
After 5 years though, I wanted to make a switch. I searched the web for reviews and watched a few videos on YouTube. I finally chose the KRK Rokit 5 GP4s. After taking them out of the box, the first thing that caught my eye was the sleek design the yellow and black really “Pop” in my studio. After plugging them in for the first time, I have to say I am absolutely stunned at the wide spectrum of sound, even in an untreated environment.
I would definitely recommend these for mixing. If you’re thinking about it, watching a video on YouTube and listening to them for yourself in your own environment are two completely different things!
Sounds ok with my reference songs, but I can't say it's a wow. Nice entry level monitors.
About the hissing people care and me too when chose them because a lot of reviews - nothing out of normal. If you don't work with 'em at 50-80 cm, but keep them further than 1m from your ears it's absolutely ok.
