After almost 2 months of having these I feel I can finally write a review of them. These are spectacular speakers and in my opinion nothing can beat them in this price range. If you want a speaker that is well balanced and natural in sound, go on an buy these! I upgraded from Yamaha HS7 and I feel I made the best choice. Now I can hear the low end clearly and more articulate compared to HS7. The midrange is simply amazing, on like most Focal products, and the top end doesn’t feel harsh, making them perfect for long working sessions. The stereo image is superb. For me, they also sound better than Adam A77X, a speaker that I worked with many times and has a similar 2.5 way design. I feel that they instantly show if a mix has problems, but if you listen to a well mixed track, boy they...

I've upgraded my studio from Adam S2X to these S3H and I'm more than happy. They keep the same sound signature of S2X which I liked, but the soundstage is incredible (it's like having a wall of sound in front of the listening position) and the level of audible details in the mid range is amazing. Listening to some of my reference tracks showed some flaws that were hidden or not so obvious in the old, smaller ones. I still have to try the on-board DSP since as soon as I connected them I simply loved their sound as is. Frequency-wise, they go lower than S2X but I'm still using them paired with a Subwoofer for mixing sub/rumble sound effects. The price is a bit steep, but once you start using them you forget about it.

I come from Focal A65s which served me for some years and where really decent! BUT the difference as soon as i plugged the A77H was huge! First. I have a full treated room with only problem a null at 70Hz that can only be smoothed by a sub and then by Sonarworks. The soundstage of the Adams is now from out of this world. The clarity is stunning. The low end is really full and tight and you can live without a sub - as said i engage it to address the dip and, the truth is that the sub hit in your body is charming... The features, remote controlled EQs and the ID reference profile add a great value! I am really impressed and literally don't want to leave the studio, the last days. Really impressive and how other people react when i sit them to my listening position. They all said, oh this...

Decided to drop a review on these as well, as info on the internet remains hard to find and I figured this might be handy for people looking for something similar. So many people are still unaware of this brand, for a company that has been around for quite some time, some decent marketing wouldn't hurt. Anyway, after long consideration which new monitor set to get, I decided to test these out. I was after a new midfield set to accompany my current set up (Neumann KH80DSP + KH750). I make (bass heavy) electronic music. First of all, The wide frequency range and coaxial design attracted me most of all. I was hesitant about reading about to high self noise they produce, but it is absolutely not a deal breaker and barely auditable. I compared these with the Neumann KH310 & the new Adam...

The speaker produces sound that is real, sounds like reality, if you know what I mean. Listening at very low volumes, I can feel the dynamics , in a sense that does not involve the ears. I can feel all the dynamic material, not by just hearing it, but feeling it on my body, at low volumes and very clearly. For stands, I use cylindrical basstraps by HOFA-Akustik and I'm not planning to change. They do a great job and at the exact right height. You ought to try those basstraps for stands. A good speaker, is a heavy speaker that does not move when it moves. Get that.

Use. I employ them in main mastering room. Clarity. Good sound stage due to the coxial strucure and very havy bass capability. Pros. Low to 25 Hz. Very powerful 12-inch woofer. And the damping time is short enough many other 12-inch woofer. It makes that its 2-way system performs so comprehensive. But others did not. Cons. Its 2-way system consists of 1-inch tweeter with horn and 12-inch woofer. Evidently lacking of a midrange unit. At some moments, it is few weak at midrange performance like vocal solo. Comprehensibility. But this speaker still has a excellent price. No doubts. I can not pick up any other replacement at this price.
