A beautiful instrument all round

This is a truly superb instrument with really amazing potential. The sound in the lower registers is sweet but resonant and the upper registers speak clearly. Tuning is immaculate and the quality is, as always, fantastic.

Plum wood may not be as common in these factory instruments as some other woods but I think it has such a lovely tone. And I think I’m right I’m saying that it’s specific density is not that much lower than Castello boxwood, so for me it is a great alternative at an attractive price.

Aesthetically my instrument looks quite different from the instrument pictured here, it is lighter with a very distinct wood grain. This is to be expected with products made of natural materials such as this. I think it is by far the nicest looking recorder I own.

The case it comes with is fine, although I have one of the Kariso cases which is where it currently lives.

I would highly recommend this recorder and I think Küng have done an impressive job with this one. It really blows my pearwood Moeck Rottenburgh out of the water (even though I know comparing the 2 is futile).
