Fretless bass sounds made warm

The La Bella 750N Black Nylon L strings sounds are so warm & smooth, which produces much better tones and feels than the normal steel strings.

Absolutely amazing

Crisp, smooth and deep at the same time. Amazing strings!

The D string untwisted on the ring side

The D string untwisted on the ring side twenty minutes after installation and tuning. I play in normal tuning, i.e. I did not tune this string higher than necessary. Trying to braid the end of the string back together was unsuccessful, the thin steel core simply broke. The sound is fantastic. Perhaps I was just unlucky. Despite the problem, I will probably buy more.

Smooth but surprisingly bright

All the benefits of smooth nylon wraps but with great crisp tone.

Maybe good but not for me

Well what can I say, based on the videos I was expecting more of a double bass sound out of those, but they only sound weak and muffled to me. But then again, I m not at all experienced with this kind of tapewound strings.

Awesome but expensive

I love those strings, the best thing about them is their feel on the fingers, i never had bruses or any problems with hurting fingers because they feel like silk. awesome, also the sound is awesome !

cons:

price is ridiculous

Good quality

This is a good quality string, but I found it too dark compared to other nylon wound strings. I also found the winding of the nylon wasn't as tight as in other brands (some metal was visible between the nylon)

great strings for special apllications

put them on my ibanez semi-acoustic shortscale bass. the strings are very soft, rubbery to the touch and low tension.

i had to either raise the action a lot or play with a much softer touch because those strings flex a lot and ratlled on the fretboard when played harder...

all in all great sound with a lot of top end in the first days. great strings for fretless, acoustic or semi acoustic instruments ... they can give a rubbery vintage and kind of acoustic sound to your instrument!!

Superfast strings

Very fast and easy played strings. The nylon coating is very smooth. Since these strings are flatwounds they will not give the "bite" sound of roundwounds, but the sound is very good. E-string is a bit "dull" in high positions.

I use these strings on an old Jazz Bass FL, and they are very comfy.

These strings will not stick to your fingers even if you sweat a lot.

Black Magic Bass

These strings play so smooth and deep and still they are very articulate, and as a bonus they look so good on my bass with all black hardware! My new favorites, coming from TI flats...

Best strings I have ever used

Until now I've been using simple round-wound steel strings. However, after hearing some really good reports of these I decided to give them a try.

I have the strings fitted to a fretted Maruszczyk Elwood X (Jazz style bass but with a MM humbucker at the bridge) and they just sound fantastic. The tone is deep and rich with plenty of body.

I play in a Prog-Rock/Metal band with two guitarists who tend to use very distorted sounds. These strings really help bring a deep bottom end to the sound while still cutting through the mix very well.

It is worth noting that the tension on these is quite a bit less than with the same gauge metal strings. As such, I did have to raise the action on my bass a little to avoid un-wanted fret buzz. However, they are a utter dream to play all the same. The lower tension took a little while to get used to, but in the end it means that I can play with a softer touch which in turn helps a lot with my speed.

Oh, and then there is the feel of the strings - so nice under the fingers. After using these I doubt that I will ever go back to any others. They might be a little more expensive that other strings but you really do get what you pay for.
