I have used flat wounds almost exclusively for the past 50 years and came across La Bella about 10 years ago. Since then I have never looked back as they are without doubt the best for sound and quality that I have ever played.

If you want to hear the real sound of your bass…

I bought those strings to explore the acoustic sound of my German Höfner. With these strings you hear the great sound of this magic instrument and you have a great feel under your fingers. Very comfortable to play (soft silk) but much more focused sound than the original Höfner strings. I liked it very much.

Great strings for Beatle Bass

These strings fit the Beat Bass perfectly. The give the classic rock & roll sound I was looking for and are easy on the fingers!

Well balanced and designed especially for the delicate Hofner neck. They sound good and are smooth to the touch, but still prefer the Hofner ones.

I installed these in an Hofner ignition Bass, and it was night and day diference comparing with the last strings. They are a bit expensive but really worth the price, been using the strings for almost a year without feeling the need to swap them.

I have put these on my Harley Benton fretless violin bass and my Hofner Ignition Club bass. They sound really good! Very smooth feel and deliver a good deep fundamental note with sufficient mids and no buzzes and rattles. A massive improvement over the stock strings.

Due to the light tension you will need to reset the truss rod.
