One of the best violin strings

Amazing strings

What are the most appreciated violin strings? Evah Pirazzi, so I will compare with them.

Comfortable in the same way

Rich in tone ( even a bit more than Evah’s)

Much louder

At the same time Larsen strings have a bit more rough surface and sometimes, with aggressive players could start to unwind .

Price: being almost twice lower than for Pirastro, Larsens are the best deal on the market

P.S packaging is awesome. Pleasure from the first touch

Great Strings!

Great quality strings, you can tell even just by the package! Direct but warm tone. They are still fairly new, but I'm sure they will settle well on my instrument with time... Recommended!

Best strings

The quality and balance of these are amazing. My violin took on new life and my sound quality also improved drastically because I could finally hear myself. I would recommend again and again

I love these strings!! They produce a very nice, warm sound and also my violin has a bigger sound, much more qualitative!

Good Quality and Value

My daughter is a violin performance graduate (cum laude) and after trying out many brands of strings throughout her studies, has opted to settle on these as her string of choice while doing her masters in chamber performance.

The violin is a van der Geest. Projection, power and dynamic range are excellent, and these string compare favorably with strings costing almost twice as much, and they last well.

Excellent strings and good value for money.

EXCELLENT STRINGS

I have tried various strings over the years and find these the best. They are bright, project, give plenty of volume (when required) but not to harsh, they also give a good dynamic range across the instrument. Though strings respond/play differently of course on individual instruments I feel these are well worth investing in for someone with a mid to high quality violin.

Better than Evah Golds

I bought these strings for my second violin. I had Evah Pirazzi golds on my main violin and liked the sound very much - but the Larsen Virtuosos were better. I now have Larsen Virtuosos on both violins.

The Larsen Vs sing on the E string like no other string I've ever tried (although there is a slight metallic sound on the open e for about the first three hours of playing, then it goes). The Evahs sing, too, but not quite as much. Both sets of strings are poweful and have lovely rich overtones - maybe the Evahs are slightly warmer and the Larsens slightly smoother.

The Larsen G and D strings are marvellous - deep, clear, throbbing, rich. It's wonderful to have a rich sound on the G string that is clear, too.

The A string is sweet and powerful.

Both sets of strings are excellent but the Larsens, in my opinion, are better because they are easier to bow and easier for the left hand. I can play better with the Larsens - it seems like a miracle, as though my playing has risen to the next level. The sound is full and rich and thrilling.
