Works great

It's plugged in mixer with phantom power (no need for battery). Guitar in input, link to amp. No problems with sound. DI signal doesn't have any deal-breaking noise.

I have two, both are great.

Great compromise between price and quality!

Excellent!

Zero complaints! Very low noise floor, great sound, great features, great pricepoint and the most important, it always works. I've seen rental companies use them for many years and have never encountered a problem with them. Recommend!

Great DI box for the cash

I bought one of these for recording bass and guitars in my home studio. I was told if I was looking for quality I shouldn't be paying attention to products at this price tag. However, I experienced differently.

The DI box is built with quality. It got hard metal housing, it is heavy, the switches are hard/stiff which I find really nice, so they won't accidently shifts on contact with external factors, if thats the case. I can't say anything for the battery source because I'm running it on phantom power from day one. The signal is clear. No hums, no noise, no nothing. So far I'm really happy with this product - again, with really low price tag in mind!

Totally recommending it!

Decent Value for Money

Picked up a few after using a couple in a venue a few years back. They're solid little workhorses and the build quality is very reasonable for the money. All four I bought are still functional, although a couple of foot screws have shaken loose over the years.

Good quality device with a lot of options

This DI, which has padding and ground lift, is great for the price.

Very reliable and safe. I have never had a problem with them and I use them every week at church.

Great price

100% satisfied

Clean and balanced sound. I have used it in several cases, live and studio. It never let's me down. True ground lift, totally cleans any background noise. I am very satisfied and I plan to buy a second one.

There are no weak points I can think of.

Great piece of kit for a bargin price.

This is a great piece of kit for a bargin price.

I've used this for acoustic instruments with piezo pickups that want to connect straight to the desk. Never had any issue with it.

A sound engineer recommended them and they were of good quality and not so expensive that they'll break the bank.

Pros

Robust build.

Easy to use.

Cons

Can think of any

Nice product

I have been using this product for more than one year.

I have used it with a violin when connected directly to the mixer, this really does make a diference in noise. otherwise I did not detected any problem, just pros, it a nice product to have in hand.

Overall is very good, resistant and nice design.

The option to run on phantom or 9v battery is a bonus.

Great sound and very good price

I had used some when I played a double bass direct to the mixer.

Now, that I play acoustic guitar live, I found the sound to be in a certain way, kind of irregular (not something very noticeable).

So, having a good experience with these, decided to try them on the guitar, and it really gives me what I want which is a kind of tighter sound, without much of a change on the tone.

The packaging is good, and very resistant.

Runs on phantom with no problem, but you can run it on a 9v battery.

I've used on some occasions BBSs and I don't think I hear that much difference just like that.

Very good for the price.

Very well made high quality DI box at a very good price.

Very well made, sturdy DI box. Active with a fairly high input impedance, and sound quality on a par with other active boxes costing substantially more.

Value for money!

I have used a few of these DI-boxes on stage outdoors and indoors for years. I have never encountered problems, they are rugged and stay on the spot where I put them. The only disadvantage I can locate is that changing batteries is a bit awkward, but most of the time I power them with 48 V PP anyway, so it?s not really a concern.

Good quality DI box

Sounds great with acoustic guitar and bass guitar, phantom power, options for pad and earth lift. Very solid and rugged unit similar to other makes costing several times the price. All in all a total bargain.

The excellent missing link on stage!

On stage, I use a Line 6 POD HD500X which have two XLR's out (stereo) and two line outs (mono) and I normally use a "the box" PA M 12 ECO MKII (often paired with a PA M 12 ECO MKII) monitoring duties. Here is the deal:

On stage, I will normally have mono out to both my monitors and the PA system/mixer in house. My HD500X patches are in stereo and I don't want to make mono versions of them.

So what I do is feeding the mono signal to the LDI 02, which is splitting the signal unchanged to my monitors and converted to a microphone level balanced signal for the Mixer/PA. Very simple and efficient! One more very common but very usable thing is that the LDI 02 normally is phantom powered by the mixer, but if the phantom power is down, then the battery inside the DI box kicks in automatically.

So the LDI 02 makes my live rig complete and I can always connect wherever I am. This little thing is one of the best and usable buys I've done lately. Strongly recommended!

Excellent Budget Buy

Very well built, with metal switches (unlike some of the competition).

Sound is more than acceptable in a live environment, and very durable.

6 years on, mine still work. Week in, week out!

Great Unit

I've got a pair of these as my main "Go to" DI boxes for live situations and they have filled that role exceptionally well.

Build quality wise the box is made of metal with rubber bumpers, it feels very sturdy and the connectors are mounted directly to this enclosure. My boxes are approaching two years of constant use at the time of this review and there doesn't seem to be any sign of failure.

Sound quality is best described as "Transparent", I've used them on a variety of sources ranging from Bass guitar to synth drums and they don't seem to alter the sound, at least not enough to be a worry.

The unit features everything you'd expect from something at this price point. 20dB Pad and the ability to be powered from a standard 9V battery. It also features a power switch t prevent the battery from running down.

Overall I'd say these DI boxes are a solid buy and in a live situation are good enough for most. As a bassist I also carry one of these to gigs and I'm happy with the sound I get out of it.
