Lead Foot FS-1 Reviews
nice switch but not working well with Roland Cube 20
I read only positive review on this switch. For the price it is really good. Feels fine, but unfortunately it is not working well with my Roland Cube 20XL. I have to push twice to change the channel, so it is working but not good when you need quickly change the channel.
It could be really written in description that it is not suitable for Roland Cube combos.
Great for the price
It works and the long cable is great.
Value for money
Nice and well built switch. Real value for money!
Good value
Bought this to replace a simple channel change footswitch for my GK bass head which got lost or nicked. It's compact and robust and does it's job very well. Yes the sides are plastic and it's not very heavy, but it switches smoothly without a lot of noise, and if you don't want to dance on it or play football with it between numbers, then at this price and for this quality, put up with a bit of plastic and save your cash.
Lead Foot FS-1
This pedal does just what it's made to do. Nothing more, nothing less. I can say that it's made rock-solid and works. I miss a small LED to see if it's engaged or not.
Good quality footswith
Good footswitch, but keep in mind what is is latching footswitch and not momentary.
solid
does what it should!
Cheap and functional
If you need a cheap footswitch for your amp it just works.
Wouldn't use it for serious stage performances, housing is plastic and cable does not seem reliable for intense use.
I use it with a Blues Junior III, so I can assure it works with that amp.
Does its job perfectly
I purchased this item for my Line6 DT-25 combo.
Pros:
- it seems to be sturdy, built like a tank
- it is doing its job
Cons:
- no cons, really
Does the job nice simple rugged switch.
I'm currently using it as a latching footswitch for talk-back on my Mackie big knob and it works great.
Good for the price.
This is good for home use,I'm not sure it would stand up to regular gigging or even studio work....though in most respects its no lighter than the little vintage Fender units and many others and the enclosure, part metal with plastic sides,is similar quality to many supplied with low to mid range amps....no complaints, works fine.
A switch. In a box you can step on. On the floor.
One feature: A switch. A good one!
Used in practice rooms and live, plugged in a valve guitar head, this footswitch is a little champ. It is lighter than Marshall footswitches, heavier than those Fender plasticky li'l switches. Weight comes both as a Pro and Con (see below)
Pros? Light, durable switch, nice long cable, easy to operate, just the right height. The force and movement needed to switch is just right, while tactile feedback of switching is unmistakeable in the foot of the operator. Really nice footswitch that player can completely rely on.
Cons? Well, compared to an ancient Marshall footswitch, this weights is only about 1/3 of the weight Marshall has. Meaning - easy to carry, but also easy to inadvertedly kick about the stage if you are a wild one (you know if you are). Those timid, mild and moderately wild among us will find no problems using it.
Very Good for the job
I wanted a footswitch to turn on the fat switch one and I have to say it does the job perfectly. It seems very sturdy and the button feels nice and works perfectly. The overall quality of the product is good and it must one of the cheapest on the market.
Perfect!
For this price - unbeatable
Plain simple footswitch, quite well made. Body is some sort of alloy, sideplates are plastic. Switch itself is operating well, clicks just like it should. I use it to switch on the reverb on the Laney Cub head. My only criticizm is that cable is not interchangable. In case if you are not touring musician, it should last for ages. But, still, for the 10 euros it's a steal.
Very good
It works perfect, THe jack is not a very good quality, but you always can change it if it?s broken.
Doesn't make sense pay a brand for this kind of footswich
buy it!
Great little switch
Not often you hear cheap and good quality in the same sentence meaning, but this little pedal is both. Feels sturdy and "does what it says on the tin". I got it to switch the spring reverb on/off on my HH K50 and it does the job perfectly. Buy one, you wont regret it.
Gets the job done for less cash.
It has always amazed me that a simple, one button footswitch from some manufacturers cost me as much as some effects boxes with much more complex circuitry AND a footswitch in them.
Not so with the Leadfoot FS-1. I needed a single-button switch to turn my reverb in my amp on and off. I didn't have to overpay for for it.
Case closed.
Pro:
Value for money
Sturdy steel construction
Cord seems high quality and is long enough for my needs
Cons:
Permanently attached cable- the switch looks like it could last 30 years. Molded-end cables usually last 5 years. ( If the cable goes, I'll mod the enclosure with a Switchcraft jack, so that I can use any spare guitar cable of any length. That'll get me through the other 25 years...)
Great for my needs
I use it as a footswitch for the over drive on my fender rumble bass amp. Works a treat. Unit is sturdy but the lead looks like it'll be the thing to eventually go. For the cheap price tho and with correct handling I'll get a few years gigging out of it for pennies. Works nice to use the gain channel almost clean and just use the volume as a boost. An led would be nice but hey ho still good.
Works fine on a Fender Blues Junior
This is a simple one button switch that does the job of a single button pedal just fine, without any fanciness. It does the job on my Fender Blues Junior to turn the fat switch on. There is no led light, but neither does the original fender switch, which cost a lot more to do the same job.
It also works on my BOSS loop pedal which works with a one button BOSS switch at a fraction of the BOSS' price.
There is also a nice, lengthy cable with a jack to hook it up with, already attached to it.
Great Device
I bought this foot switch to use with the Fender Mustang II as it was way cheaper (and look more resilient) than the original one-button fender foot switch. It worked straight out of the box.
The build quality is very good, the casing is made of some light metal finished with hard plastic on the sides. The cable is very long and seems of decent quality.
The mechanical switch feels great and of very high quality.
I am very impress with the build quality overall. The foot switch is very stable, looks durable and it is strong enough to take it around to gigs and rehearsals.
A great foot switch for very little money. Definitely worth buying it.
