It's a switch in a box on a cable...

It is basic switch in a box on a cable. The wiring is OK inside the box - just a little tight I think. Maybe I was unlucky as the jack plug connection went intermittent. As it is molded on I now need a solderable replacement.

Perfectly serviceable unit.

I was surprised at the cost of the Marshall switches and pleased to see there was a cheaper alternative.

This is not quite as weighty as the authentic switch but does a perfectly acceptable job. The lead is a decent length, the button seems robust enough and I am happy with this purchase.

Great for Mustang ii

As the title says brought this instead of the Fender switch.

Appears solid and works perfectly with the mustang amp and is around a third of the price. Silent operation no noise passing through the amp and looks like it will last a long time

no contest i'd buy this again

Does what it needs to!

A very simple but effective footswitch! The cheapest on offer but built to last, this is a welcome addition to my bass amp. The flex length is impressively long so this copes with different stage placings very well. I expect this to last years without needing replacement, good piece of kit

Great value/price

Simple, rock-solid built, it does perfectly its job, at a negligible price.

I suggest it to everyone looking for a live or home/studio reliable switch pedal.

Needs to be engaged twice

I used this foot switch in my Roland Cube 30 at home.

I found out that in order to achive a change between channels you must press the button twice. Other than that it responds pretty well and it seems to be indestructible.

Simple and do the job

It's perfect choice if you want a simple but durable pedal for switching channels.

The only this what's missing is one status LED.

For me it's not a big problem, because I'm using it for switch clean/dirty channel ( and I'm hearing of course what's is on).

But if you use it for switching booster, maybe you will miss the LED.

But overall is't a great product.

Cheap & Effective

I use it with my Orange TH30 amp.

For the money you pay you get a good product, it is no where near the quality of other similar products on the market but at this price point you can't go wrong.

It might not last too long if used robustly.

Great Little Foot Switch

Definitely does what it's designed for - switching on/off boost channel on my Laney IOMMI signature amp. The cable is longer than what is required, I just tie it up with cable management tools and I couldn't be happier now.

Good switch

I bought two of these for my orange CR60 to switch channels and reverb. They do s good job, seem very sturdy and they come with integral leads. At less than half the price of the matching switches they make sense.

Nice budget switch.

Got this switch for my Fender Rumble 500 V3 Combo.

Works well. Built like a tank.

Cheap price. Recommended.

Good and cheap footswitch

For about 2 or 3 years I searched for a footswitch for my Laney Gh50. It should be a single switch foot switch, so I searched on my favorite music store on the internet for a cheap one and found the "Lead Foot FS-1".

It's well made and do, what it has to do: switch between the channels. ;)

I use it with about 3 or 4 amps and it worked with all of them (Hughes & Kettner Edition Silver, Laney Gh50, Laney LC etc.)

Now this Foot Switch work with all of my amps.

If it's get stolen or broken, I would immediately buy a new one an order an backup, too. ;)

Not a bad switch

I have 2 of these & they vave both been fine.

There is no led to tell you if the pedal is engaged so if you need this feature look elsewere.

The only little thing that I have a problem with is the leads are too long as I am using them as an additional switch to a foot controler, but if you are looking for a channel switch for a amp then you will be happy with the length.

Bought to use with Kemper.

I bought this unit along with the FS-2 to pair together on a pedal board for live use with my Kemper Profiling Amp.

I use this to switch to the tuner and back with 0 faults. The metal housing is very sturdy and strong. It happily takes my foot beatings when Im on stage pedal dancing between sections of our set.

I've also gone to the length to re-spray the housing matte black so that when the two pedals are side by side they look like one single unit.

For the price, cannot complain at all. Does the job perfectly.

In future maybe it'll be nice if there can be a 3 button version?

Very good product

Well it is just a regular foot-switch. It is made of both plastic and metal. I use it to control the distortion channel on my Marshall valvestate and it does the job. The cable could be a little longer but it is not a big issue. It is not as sturdy as the original Marshall switch but it is less than half the price.

Tough and silent

I plugged it into my Fender Frontman and my Peavey Envoy, it works with both, and makes no popping sound when I switch it on an off. The sides are plastic but the body is 4mm thick aluminum, it feels robust enough to take the weight of the leg often. The underside has two pads made of a dense and pretty hard foam that adheres well to the ground, and seems like it won't chip away easily.

The switch itself is the standard (like in Dunlop pedals) chromed steel thing with strong body and bolt/nut assembly. I opened the box and saw the soldering is neat and full, the wires are not too thin, the rubber is less strong than in good guitar cables but seems durable enough for its job.

I couldn't scratch the paint with my fingernails, and the plug sits firmly in the amps' input jack. The whole thing is tough and well made, but what I like most is the silent operation: it doesn't pop at all when turned on or off, and that's what matters most with a footswitch. Some days ago I went to listen to a rehearsal with professional musicians, the guitarist was well equipped but one switch in his pedalboard popped, that's annoying and it disrupts the music a bit. The FS-1 doesn't pop.

Simple, no frills and solid

What can you say about a footswitch? Well, this one is very solidly built but not overly heavy. It is stable under foot and does not skate around even on smooth and polished floors. The attached lead is of a sensible length and the whole package feels like it will go on for ever. There is no doubting the quality of this item.

If there is a downside at all then it would have to be that the switch itself has really quite a substantial 'click' when operated - at least you know you've pressed it.

Having the ability to switch its operation between 'toggle' and 'press to make' might have been nice.

The FS-1 does the simple job of switching between a clean and overdrive channel perfectly well and should work with most amps.

Lack of a light could make it make it difficult to see what channel you are on when on stage but this shouldn't really be an issue.

Also, extremely impressed with the build quality....feels really sturdy and for the price cannot complain whatsoever!

honest foot switch

I bought this item, Lead Foot FS-1, as part of a bundle, so it costs me nothing. The foot switch consists a metal main part and of plastic side parts and of a metal button.Beyond this and considering its real price, I think that for ?9.50 it represents e real value for money item. Recomended implicitly.
