Solid. A great footswitch.

This is a great little pedal. The metal chassis construction is solid, the switches are robust and everything works just as it should.

I recently purchased a second hand 100W MG Marshall which did not come with a foot-switch and was about to purchase the Marshall MRPEDL91003 foot-switch at over twice the price when I spotted this little fellow! It perfect for what I want which is for my practice amp at home.

Slight cons:

I use a Marshall for gigging so am familiar with the construction of their channel switches. The Marshall foot-switches have a little LED light to let you know which channel your on, if I were using this for gigging this would certainly be a consideration. The Marshall foot-switches also have a lead with a much heavier and robust feel to it. (I don't use other makes so haven't anything else to compare it to).

All in all though, this is a very well built little pedal. In my opinion robust enough for the road/gigging. If you'r looking for an amp foot-switch on a budget, you will be hard pressed to find a better buy. I am very happy with mine.

All you need

Bought this as I needed a two way switch. It is robust enough to stand gigging and does the job perfectly. Could only be improved by status LEDs, but that's what ears are for : ) Unbeatable value.

Adaptable foot switch

Use this footswitch with my Hartke bass combo, to change channels (clean/ drive), and also to activate the 'shape' facility, which adds a pre-defined EQ setting.

Works perfectly........

I guess it would work with any amp where you need two switches.

Only room for improvement would be the addition of LEDs to the unit so you can see what is activated.

Brilliant for the price....

good quality

This is a really cheap and still good quality footswitch. I am using it for my Laney LX120R head, and does the job flawlessly.

It is a really sturdy one, you could throw it into a tank, and it would survive without a doubt. You can definitely gig with it.

The cable is long enough for bigger stages, so no worries about that either.

Does the job

Needed a foot switch for my old Laney combo, just used for jamming and didn't want to pay a load for a branded one, this is great, built like a tonkabtoy and clicks like a cricket. Deep joy!

Does what it's supposed to do

Plugged it into my Peavey Envoy, works as the Peavey manual says it should: one switch turns the volume boost on and off, the other selects the distorted or clean channel, without a popping sound, it's perfectly silent electronically.

However the hollow housing acts as a small resonant box, so the mechanical sound of the steel switches is enhanced. I find it a bit annoying, so I cut sponges in pieces, and stuffed them inside the housing to dampen the clicking sound, and it works.

When I opened it, I saw clean and full soldering; plus, the copper wires are not too thin. There was a bit of aluminum dust but I brushed it away. The housing is rather thick metal, and the side panels are tough plastic. The whole thing is rugged against shocks and the pressure of the player's weight.

The cable is okay but its rubber is not stiff and thick as a good guitar cable like my Klotz, so I give it only 4 stars. The jack locks firmly onto the amp's rear panel. The other end of the cable is crimped on the stompbox's panel, the arrangement looks quite solid, you can't budge it if you pull it.

The bottom has two rubber pads that don't wear out easily, and grip pretty well. An anti-scratch paint rounds up the thing. I don't travel with it but the footswitch looks like it should last long even if you do.

Easy to use and great quality

Got this as a cheaper alternative to the Vox footswitch for my AC15. I really wanted something that gave me the option to switch the tremolo effect on/off and this did it perfectly. There's a good long lead on it and it works straight after plugging in at the back. At a fraction of the cost of the Vox, it was a no-brainer for me. It's also handy for switching the reverb but I rarely use that, it's all about the tremolo for me. The only negatives I have are: It would be nice to have an led for on/off; I'd prefer a flat base for attachment to a pedal board. But neither of these are by any means a deal-breaker. For the price, quality and simplicity: It's a steal.

Grat footswitch for this price

I use it together with a Beat Buddy pedal and even is a really cheap product it exactly does what I need.

The integrated cable is long enough for everything and the pedal itself is well built and "not so plastic" as you can image considering the price. I definitely recommend this foot switch

A Great Product!

I bought this as a replacement for the Peavey FS2 footswitch which came with my Peavey Valveking head. The Peavey Switch is very poor quality because the lead is not firmly secured into the chassis of the switch, meaning that if the lead is pulled too hard the soldered connection will break. Fixing it was very frustrating.

The Lead Foot FS-2 is simple, economical and well made. It features two switches, one for channel selection and the other for mode selection (so it works best for a two channel, four mode amp). The Lead is a decent length, so you won't have to worry about live situations. I bought mine over 18 months ago and it has seen regular use both at home and on stage, and I have never had a problem with it.

Overall, an excellent and very economical product.

cheap pedal high quality

Only because it costs 12 eur it's not a cheap product. well constructed and sturdy the only complain is that cable is linked to base, no removable option is possible. Cable is quite long and jack is a mono regular one. Push botton are defined with no esitations. Good product 7/10.

Versatile

What can you ask more for simple foot switch with 2 buttons? Made out of steel box with nice pad on the back of it, preventing it from sliding on the floor. Buttons are very qualitative, box too. Come with great low noise cable that doesn't make extra noise in amp. Have used it with Nux Mighty 50x, Marshall Valvestate amps and it worked just fine. Looking for a simple foot switch that does its task great? Than this is for you.
