Very good price for the features!

This is a 37" bass (on the long side), so it's a bit unwieldy, but if you are shopping for such a scale length, then this is great, as it doesn't have a headstock, bringing the overall length and weight down, and making it so that it ends closer to your body. The multiscale fanned frets are very easy to adjust to (I had only played a 34" 5-string bass with straight frets before) and it only took me a few minutes to adjust, the fan is not too extreme. It's much harder to adjust to the long scale coming from 34".

Nice roasted maple neck bolt on with 5 screws to the body. The bolt-on heel is rounded and comfortable and access to frets 17-19 is pretty easy.

The Fishman Fluence pickups are great and sound wonderful. There's a master volume, blend, bass and treble EQ pots and a three-way pickup switch. The master volume is Push-Pull, the rest are regular. The pots on this guitar seem much more robust and comfortable than on similar headless 5-string bass models from other manufacturers, and they stay

out of the way of the hands. The battery cavity is easily accessible without any screwing required.

I have only 4 small complaints with this bass

1) The fretwork could use some work, it's not horrible by any means, it's good but could be a bit better.

2) The G string is noticeably more quiet when using the Pull coil split/passive mode option on the master volume knob. Maybe adjusting the pickup height would fix this.

3) I just got it, so I haven't tried to change strings, but it's not readily apparent how to do it by just looking at the bridge, and it's quite hard to find a tutorial or manual right now, as this product is so new. I have other headless instruments and their bridges seem more intuitive.

4) The input jack is really low on the body making it so a lot of cable is visible running from the strap bolt to it. But that's just an aesthetic issue for me, the placement itself is good and doesn't get in the way too much when sitting down in parallel or classical positions.

Overall a great headless multiscale 5-string bass for the price. Came without any scuffs, scratches or tool marks. The open pore finish is great on the swamp ash and feels smooth. Neck radius is pretty flat (but not as flat as Ibanez) and the weight is pretty good for this scale length. The pickups are great and have a lot of control.
