Lehle Mono Volume 5-stars Reviews
It's huuuuge
Beware this one is foot size 47. Which I personally like but check the space on your board before buying. Works like a charm, the travel is ample, and it's very gradual. Since it doesn't use pots but a magnetic sensor it should be virtually immortal. An integrated quality buffer is a well received add-on. happy with it so far
Best Volume Pedal
If you look for best design, best tone, best durability.
It’s the one.
Just brilliant
A fantastic volume pedal with a great buffer and the option of also boosting your signal.
Quality
A volume pedal that delivers!
Heavy machinery
As I have fought with volume pedals for years, I somewhat lost interest in those. Every time when I used one, I needed to compromise on my tone. Not anymore - with Lehle there is nothing lost. No frequencies. It is heavy, exactly the right size etc... But be aware - the connections are placed so that you cannot use angled cables. If you get behind that problem, the pedal is so smooth that you want to use volume swells on all of your songs!
Best volume pedal ever
In the past I’ve used many volume pedals, active/passiv , pot+string , optical etc…
There was always a little bit of tone suck going on and after a while the pedal would wear out and I would have to look for something else .
This is the best volume pedal I have owned so far. Excellent build quality and sound, no tone suck what so ever and with the magnetic control of the volume, I expect this one to last me a livetime!
does not make noise and does not cry
I am very happy with this pedal, I don't know what could be better.. big comfortable, made like a tank.. you won't regret it!
The Gold Standard in Volume Pedals
Quite simply the finest Volume Pedal in the World at the moment! Unbelievably Smooth, Dynamic, Organic and Responsive!
I highly recommend it
Really amazing volume pedal! Love the sound quality as well as the design.
Perfect volume pedal
Works perfectly - very transparent sound, no issues whatsoever, has lots of functionality, looks nice and has been working perfectly for over 3 years for me. Totally recommended!
Extremely smooth!
This is hands down the highest quality pedal of any kind I have ever encountered. The pedal travel is extremely smooth and controllable. Evaery aspect of the pedal screams "indestructable". I also appreciate the option to bolt the pedal to your pedal board.
Amazing
Absolutely delighted with this product, this is the ultimate musical tool for all musician who cares enough about dynamics. Perfect design, feels very good, no tone suck, just brilliant....
best I've ever tried
I bought this in 2016 and I have never experienced trouble. Very well build and the taper is very linear. Recommended.
Perfect Quality and Function
The smooth action of the pedal combined with great sound quality and the ability to add 12 dB of gain makes this pedal an excellent choice. It is well worth its price which is quite high in comparison to other volume pedals, but is made up for with its high quality build and components. The pedal is of a comparable size to an Ernie Ball volume pedal, and fits on your board quite nicely. It has a transparent tone, with little colouration. The boost can also be used to give your signal more power, or to control an amp on the edge of overdrive, pushing the pedal down to make the amp break up more. It's a great versatile and top quality pedal. You'll never need another volume pedal with it, I 100% recommend it.
Built like a tank
I have been using this pedal for over two years now and I'm still excited to use it. I use this for electric guitar, mainly managing volume on stage but also for making swells. I've tried other ones but this seemed perfect for me, big footprint, sturdy, magnetic sensor (no problems with potentiometers or string breakage), active (can switch it around in the effects chain) and it looks dope.
Pros: sturdy, magnetic sensor, amazing sweep feel, perfect sound, ability to boost, supreme craftsmanship, aesthetics
Cons: none that I can think of, I could say that it was a bit big and heavy, a bit expensive but I knew exactly what I wanted when I bought this piece and it was exactly what I hoped for.
useful
I use it in the fx loop as a master volume. Clears the treble and buffers ... perfect.
Worth the money
Perfect volume pedal
This thing is HEAVY! Aside from that it is everything you could want in a volume pedal. There is no signal loss with this pedal, in fact you can even add gain to your signal with it if you want. Its expensive but worth not having to worry about it breaking like some other types of volume pedal. You can even adjust the feel of the pedal to make it smoother or stiffer. It has a tuner out jack which I use to connect a tuner to. All volume pedals are pretty big and chunky and this is no exception. I have to take it off of my pedal board and pack it away separately or the pedal board won't go in it's case but that is no big deal.
Great pedal, nice materials.
I`ve bought it few months ago and I`m glad. Very sturdy, you could jump on it and it wouldn`t break.
I`ve put TS in front so I wouldn`t lose much gain! Cheers
Tremendous volume pedal
Absolutely quiet, smooth, well-made pedal. The 20dB boost is very useful. I expect a long life out of this pedal.
I also own an Ernie Ball (no longer in use) and a Hilton (used with pedal steel) and the Lehle is certainly at least in the class of the Hilton, if not better.
Minor issue: I have to use straight plugs, as the lip on the bottom of the pedal prevents me from using angle plugs. The pedal is already quite large, and the added length of the plugs actually make it slightly too long for my board. So a slightly smaller footprint, and side-mount jacks would be (for me) and improvement. But this is complaining at a very high level.
Lehle volume pedal
This is a seriously well-engineered pedal. It's extremely solid and weighs a ton - an advantage and a disadvantage, I suppose. It comes with fixings for screwing to a board, with cutouts and holes on the pedal base to accommodate the screws, which is a nice touch. The whole thing feels very high quality.
The 'throw' of the pedal and the way it feels underfoot are great - a nice wide range of operation that beats those pedals based on a wah chassis for feel (like the Mission VM pro, for example) and makes swells and minor alterations much easier. The buffered output is in my opinion a good thing, and the option of the direct out is a useful touch, too. The 10db boost you can dial in from the rotary control is a useful addition though i have no current need for it. Maybe i'll find one though...
I have only one criticism, and that is the location of the power supply socket, wedged in between the edge of the chassis and the output jack. This means using an angled power cable (as provided by Cioks by default, for example) is more difficult than it should be. Lehle - if you're listening - a small cutout in the base plate under the power socket would be a nice addition in future. Oh, and the manual is a bit mixed up with some German and English pages mixed up. Easy to figure out though.
Other than that - the best volume pedal I've tried by a large margin, and no pots or strings or gears to wear out!
