Very good

Line6 has done a great job with this device. Though fx chain is limited but if somebody just need it for home recording its more then enough.

An excellent piece of hardware

This is an amazing piece of kit for the price, there're so many features, sounds and functions crammed into this small MFX. It has everything I need for jamming, creating new sounds and performing both guitar and bass. Combine this with a decent power amp and this is all you may ever need. 36 banks of 4 presets with snapshots on each preset means you can store more tones than you'll ever need on the device and easy connection to a laptop means you can save and edit all your sounds with ease.

Top quality rig in a backpack

The Pod Go is fantastic. It's got the same amps and effects as the Line 6 flagship Helix in a smaller format and lower price tag. If you don't need the fancy capabilities of the Helix (I recon most of us don't!) the Pod Go has all you could want. I am never going back to a bulky, heavy tube amp. I get equivalent sound from the Pod Go and whenever it's time for a gig or rehersal, I just grab my guitar and Pod Go and go. No more lugging around bulky, heavy tube amps! In addition to that, using the Pod Go's line out I have full control of the signal sent to the mixer.

Oh My Go(d)

I still have my first POD, a V2 kidney bean and that was amazing. Easy to use and capable of some great sounds.

I bought this during lockdown to see how I would get on with it.

I had bought the big Helix last Christmas but sent it back after two weeks with it. Nothing I did sounded right and I had a real issue with people telling me I needed to buy commercial presets to hear it at its best.

For me, something like a multi FX unit should be easy to use and easy to get great sounds without wasting your life watching YouTube tutorials and buying someone else's presets.

Thankfully this is much easier to program. It definitely helps using the PC Editor from Line 6.

Lots of great sounds inside the Go, and I found the best results starting from a blank preset and adding what I wanted.

There is also an active Pod Go community who share their own presets which are sometimes a better starting point than the unit's own Line 6 made presets that are on the unit already.

Depending on your amp model the Go can run out of processor power meaning a lot of the higher end FX are unavailable, it's a shame and I would have liked to be able to use any combination of any of the available amps and FX within the blocks available.

I know the HX Stomp has a bit more going on upstairs, but it only has the three buttons and no expression pedal, now the HX Stomp is available at the same price as the Go, I'm thinking of getting one and seeing which one I like best.

However as an all in one solution it's hard to beat the Go.

I paired it with a full HK Audio Linear system and it sounded massive, especially in stereo.

It also worked well with a Yamaha DXR12 and Headrush 108 FRFR.

With the Headrush it's a brilliant, powerful and tiny rig that would take any gig in its stride that you could carry in one hand.

All of the amps and FX sound good, certainly a worthy successor to the original Pod.

It feels solidly built and should last a good long while.

I have heard of some users having software issues but mine has worked perfectly.

I'm looking forward to getting out and gigging this, I've had a couple of (appropriately socially distanced) band rehearsals and it's performed well. A few more tweaks needed here and there, but no different from any other FX unit, pedalboard or amp combination.

On the whole I'm very happy with it.

Good... for a modeller

Currently I use the Pod Go for bass. After a few months of playing I can say that wish I saved money for a Helix LT or something similar. I thought I would settle with a simple modeler but I with time the simplicity became too limiting.

The sound isn't too impressive. Maybe my setup isn't perfect but I can always feel the digital and unorganic vibe to the distortion sounds. I know that many people (me included) improve the sound with third party IR's. The ability to load IR's is great but I find it odd paying extra for improving the sound. I think Line6 should invest more in that area.

To summarize:

Pros:

-lightweight and portable, fits in most bags;

-easy to use and understand;

-sounds ok for a modeler;

-can be used as a audio interface;

-competitive price.

Cons:

-not the best distortion sounds;

-stock cab sims are lacking, I'm not happy about paying extra for better sound;

-guitar players who like to use many effects simultaneously, use double amps/cabs or run parallel chains will find the Pod Go limited;

-A big design flaw in my opinion: The signal entering the AUX input comes out at all outputs. This means that you can't monitor yourself with headphones when plugged to amplifiers/speakers.

A decent product for a good price but I have outgrown it quickly.

I'm using the POD GO with my Worship Band and it's all that i need. 5-6 presets with snapshots and you're ready to praise!

Pros: snapshots, effects are miles away from my previous 500X, It's small, easy to carry, on/off switch. No Cons.

Unbeatable quality to price ratio!

I use it for home practice and recording, and for gigs.

It is incredible to have so much in such a small package. Very easy to use and the quality is up there with the best of them.

And if there were some bugs in the beginning - they are working very hard on updates and fixes, so now it is almost 100% solid.

I am sure it will suit almost anyone and any level.

Everything I need in a little box.

I'm playing guitar a year and a half and up 'til now I had been connecting it to an audio interface with monitor speakers connected to a laptop via Reaper with amp sim plugins and a MIDI footswitch to control the pedals. Which I have to set up every time I play due to a lack of permanent space.

Now I just throw this Pod Go on to the floor and connect to a single speaker and I'm done. Easy peasy and I can play anywhere.

Of course the added bonus is that the Pod Go is essentially a stripped down Helix which allows for a single signal path instead of multiple (so probably not for people who need that extra scope for effects) so the sound quality is very good and quite realistic and there are amps and cabs for every style imaginable.

The stomps and expression pedals can be assigned to pedals and even parameters of those pedals leaving plenty of scope for weird and wonderful creations.

The interface is intuitive and build solid. It's small and light and fits neatly in a backpack with room left over. And the price point is a bargain for this quality.
