Excellent addition to any kit.

Can be tuned low as Stanton Moore uses it himself or high work very well as each but does definitely excel when tuned low like a Floor Tom and used in layering with another timbre.

This is very well built, very sturdy and reliable. It also comes with an LP bag for traveling to gigs, something that more products should include.

First thing to know, is that this is not a true acoustic instrument, it is supposed to be miced. It has a great low end, but it will only be realised when put through a bass amp or PA.

It comes shipped with a coated emperor, so you don't need to shell out on a new head right away. It is reasonably priced, and sounds great.

The only issue, is that it is not drum key tunable, so if you lose the tuning key provided, you are screwed, and it is also not a very universal key.

Can be used as a bass drum substitute.

Great sound!!

The first thing I noticed about this product was the amount of different ways you can play it. Having a tuneable pandiero is brilliant. The drum key is slightly cheap and flimsy but it does the job, just don't loose it.

The drum head is a 12" emperor head so it can be changed inexpensively. Using this pandiero as a bass drum works really well just bare in mind it doesn't sound like a bass drum until you mic it up and purchase a cowbell foot clamp to fit it too. But once you have done this it sounds awesome. Especially for country music. A great product and well worth the price.
