Great adition for drummers

This conga is great addition for drummers to have in their acoustic arsenal.

I use it on my regular drum kit for slow rumba style songs, and on my acoustic cajon set as another voicing. Great for that.

Great tone

Nice drum. Very useful to avoid carrying all the weight around. The problem is it needs a better bracket to adjust to a mount . The current one for this model keep sliding to 45 degree angle every time you slap the skin. Not sturdy enough to hold the impact of the slap on the drum. Otherwise, the skin is great. My advice is to use a snare drum mount for it until the original bracket is modified or a better one constructed.

Very good sounding, but hard to mount properly

These are REALLY well built and awesome sounding congas that are the size of your typical conga head. Together with the bigger size conga of the same series, they form a nice pair for home use and gigging. I have used these all the way from small churches and clubs to stadium size gigs, without any problem in sound, tunability or build quality. They are easy to carry in a small backpack or snare bag when making the heads face each other. My only CONCERN with these is the way these need to be mounted. I have not tested the original holder made for them, but i have used snare stands to accomodate them on gigs. The problem is the lack of mass, because the snare stand with the compact conga easily moves about a foot (30cm) during a high tempo energized song. I am a hard hitter, which also affects this though!
