good for everything

I specifically chose these monitors for their versatility. It is very useful not only for mixing and mastering, but also for practicing and listening to music. Being 8 inches allows it to be used with bass guitar. very powerful monitors

Great monitor

I have a pair connected with RCA-XLR cables to a Vestax pmc 05 pro III with two 1210 mk2. They sound amazing and fill the room with ease. They are build like tanks and the highs, mids and lows are very clear.

There is a very slight mains hum even when no audio cables are connected but this is to be expected from powered monitors. You can not hear it at all if you stand 30cm away and you definitely cannot hear it during playback.

The position adjusting LEDs really work! I am very pleased overall!

BIG suprice !

As an old man that has been a sound nerd all my life, i bought these studio monitors as a momentary budget choice, thinking i can upgrade later when i can afford some higher end ones.

But man was i wrong, thinking these would disappoint me. Out of the box not played in, listening to Tidal on high end output, these monitors are sweet sounding. I can't put my finger on any flaws, not at this price.

I have passive monitors in my living room that are better. But they have a price many times higher, being hooked up to big heavy amps and other gear at high price.

These cheap studio monitors plays nice out of the box. So in a few weeks i know they will be even better.

They are build heavy and at a quality that makes me wonder how they managed to produce these so low priced.

To budget buyers, these are a very good way to go, if you want quality sound for nearly no money.

Sounds good, but heats very much

If you just keep it on it will get so hot that you cant touch it. Also half of my speakers are broken after couple of months.

I purchased M-Audio BX8 D3 monitors because of their low cost and good appearance for working in a home studio. The store's service was very pleased, the consultants are responsive and pleasant to communicate with. Monitors sound decent for their price category, in a poorly prepared acoustic room, higher-level monitors are an extra waste of money. After a couple of months of using the monitors, I faced the problem of a crackling in one of the low-frequency speakers, the reason was in the not fully inserted terminal inside the monitor, it was not difficult to fix, but an unpleasant residue remained. In general, I liked the monitors, they sound pretty clean without large spectral distortions.

Мониторы звучат достойно для своей ценовой категории, в плохо подготовленную акустическую комнату мониторы более высокого уровня это лишняя трата денег. Через пару месяцев использования мониторов столкнулся с проблемой треска в одном из низкочастотных динамиков, причиной оказалась в не до конца вставленном клемнике внутри монитора исправить было не сложно но неприятный осадок остался. В целом мониторы понравились звучат довольно чисто без больших спектральных перекосов.

First monitors

Well, what I can tell always wanna get quality sound at home. I don't need huge but plastic shell and M-Audio. Now it pass more than year I got them, awesome sound and quality for that price. Use them every day and get feel so good. Use them with Yamaha AG06 and other instruments. Cubase records sound like what you did some seconds ago as for guitar, bass as for midi. Think best choice for guys wanna try to start create music it'll not disappoint you!

Really good choice for the money!

Very good value

I have this for use with Hauptwerk (Virtual Pipe Organ). It seems very good for this. Good bass response (providing good pedal notes down to around the lowest E note at 16ft pitch. And for reed stops these fundamental frequencies do not matter so much.

However, there is some audible mains hum which means I would not want to use it as a near-field monitor. This is not as pronounced as on the BX5 D3 but it is there. On the whole it is good value, but it depends on your application.

Just Bought a Pair and never had to put volume in Max 50% is all you need in a room

Pros : the bass and the general sound quality on M-audio BX8 D3 is just unbeatable

GREAT AT FIRST, THEN DEGRADES

Bought a pair of these BX8 D3's even though I hadn't heard them due to so called rave reviews, was great to start with, now ONLY a year later and the tweeter on the right hand one is intermittent so totally useless as studio monitors, but have to keep using them until I get a replacement pair, This has well and truly stuffed up a couple of mixes including ones that's released on Spotify and all before I noticed it was faulty, so two albums are too bright on the right side. I would return under Warranty but have heard the process is a nightmare. Don't waste your money because they weren't cheap.

Very clear frequency playback, nothing stands out, very nice volume range. Perfect for the money.

Very good sound

The sound output is amazing, powerful and clear, and with the 300 Watts combined, I can cover even a small venue if I want.

Only thing that I wish they had was standby mode, so that I don't need to physically turn them off when not used or overnight. Also, the manual doesn't explain how to select the Accoustic Space LF cut.

Really fantastic monitors.

I am thrilled with these near field monitors. I actually use them in my home studio through my Behringer Xenyx QX1832 mixer and the sound is incredible. I can't say enough about these monitors. They are well built, solid and work for my needs. I also use them to blend the Alesis Command Mesh Drum Kit for L and R channels to round out the drums. Very happy with these monitors.

The monitors arrived in an enormous, very heavy box (usually a good sign with speakers). In the box was the power cables, speakers and a thin set of isolating foam pads for the base of each speaker, if you want to use them. No XLR cables were included.

When making dance music, a problem I often encounter is that poorer quality speakers can struggle with bass and become very distorted. These have very accurate sound, and I have had them close to full volume and didn't have any trouble with distortion at all. I work in a small room and liked the feature to reduce the bass for small work environments (a switch on the back of the speaker).

Value

The speakers have very good quality.

But there is some noise when nothing is playing, it is not much and I can ignore it.

Also I have them connected to the M-audio track and when I have the speakers connected and I plug in headphones that noise tranfers to the headphones.

I found that is a cause of the power cables.

So I propably need a power conditioner.

Overall value speakers for the price.
