Great budget mixer

This mixer has a nice quality, very good sound and overall feel but it's not really a 8 channel mixer as the name might indicate. You only have 6 channels, the 7/8 is achieved via a mono out stereo return auxiliary, which includes dedicated post fader sends on all four strips, and a dedicated Auxiliary Master return.

Perfect for my needs!

Got this little mixer to add my two cajon microphones into the stereo channel on bands mixing desk.

Does the job perfectly, with a good EQ and solid construction.

Expect good quality from Mackie in this desk is no different. A must-have if you are adding one or two instruments to your bands sound.

Simple lightweight mixer suitable for small gigs

I use an AER Compact and a Trace Acoustic 50R for small gigs with a vocalist. I needed an extra microphone to the AER input for backing vocals. This mixer does that and more. I can now use my guitar effects in stereo, add in a drum machine or use prepared loops.

This mixer is great value, has all the functions I need, doesn't noticeably colour the sound and is easy to use. Two XLRs with phantom power, two pairs of stereo line inputs and tape (how quaint) ins and outs plus aux send and stereo returns - great stuff at a great price.

Mackie Mix8

A very nice, robust quiet just plug it in and use it mixer. Sound quality is very clear and adds nothing unwanted to the signal. Highly recommended. No reverb/delay effects but that just reflects the bargain price.
