Fantastic bass for the money
It was a present for my 40th birthday, so it holds special place in my collection. Bass is looking and playing on level of American Fender JB. Maybe even better looking than AMJB... At 3.9kg it's on lighter side for a JB and balanced well, so you can't feel the weight at all. Well, it's same weight as a Les Paul but it's bigger so... Frets ale well done and quite smooth, but it's worth to have a go at them when doing maintenance to polish them up even more. Hardware works and holds tuning with no issues, neck is nice and smooth, no blemishes on it neither on body or headstock. Sound is great, similar to JB 77, the stock pickups handle it very well but for bigger live performances probably it would benefit from an active set. For non arena playing current set-up works just fine ;)
Simply amazing!
I´m still blown away by how good this bass sounds and feels! overall quality is top notch and the tone is awesome. It tends to neckdive a bit but not in a Thunderbird level. Can be easily solved using a wider strap or by replacing the tuners with light ones. Besides the neck diving thing, this bass is incredibly good for its price.
Top-quality instrument
It looks great, it feels great, and it sounds great. The neck feels great. The finish is really good.
Incredible
This bass is actually insanely good for the price. I probably don't ever need another passive jazz ever - that good! The neck is phenomenal and it actually is extremely versatile - more than I expected. It also looks great :) The only thing I would say is that it is a little heavier, but unless you are standing for more than 2hrs I would say that you should be ok if you have a decent strap. Sitting down it's fine though.
Overall, absolutely delighted - couldn't be happier (hope this is helpful)
It's great...
It looks great, it feels great, and it sounds pretty darn good. The neck feels great. The finish looks and feels really good. I wouldn't mind a bit more growl and a bit more presence on the E string, but it really sounds very good. My particular bass came with a pretty much dead straight quarter sawn neck... luck of the draw, I guess, but pretty impressive.
Awesome bass to play!
This is a really awesome bass to play - it's got a great tone and it's super comfortable to play.
In my opinion, there are really not many other basses that can compete in the same price range. You really won't ever regret getting this bass
So much bass for the money
I'm a guitar player and this is my first base, but oh boy am I glad I chose Sire. Excellent instrument for this price range.
This is amazing
Top-quality instrument at affordable price. This one is more simple than V7 but the only change is the removal of the active system. Plays amazing, feels amazing, the fretboard is outstanding. Not even a bad word for this bass.
