Fantastic bass and great value

For the price I paid this bass punches well above its weight, the build quality is top notch and it sounds great. The preamp options can be a bit overwhelming and you'll find yourself spending hours tweaking to find that perfect sound, but it sounds great in passive mode.

Seriously top value for the money

I bought the Sire MM Jazz Bass because I always have wanted a Jazz Bass, but always have bought something else!

This MM bass have exactly the look and features I want from a Jazz Bass.

Tobacco sunburst, Turtoise pick guard, neck - rosewood with binding and block inlays.

The bass was delivered with ok strings, probably dAddarios, and was well adjusted.

The exterior of the bass is after my opinion very good. The body is made of three parts, glued together. Neck is made of one pice wood.

The neck is typically JB, narrow at the nut, and very playable.

Hardware: Tuning keys and bridge is good quality.

Pick ups are ok, and fine preamp with bass, parametric mid and treble, which is possible to switch on/off.

Master tone and volume, and pick up balance.

The bass have a good balance when playing, with no particular neck dive.

I seriously recommend this bass as top value for the money, features and playability!

Great instrument

An incredible instrument for beginner/intermediate players. Quite versitile pre-amp. In my case it was ready to play straight from the box with minimal setup. Tuners are really good in my modest opinion. It's definitely a must try for every bassist.

Over all good in quality

Acoustically, the bass sounded very alive. To me, that indicated that it would sound good amplified, if the electronics were of a high quality.

Great bass for the price can't be beaten

a great bass with the features and playability of something that costs much more. Only real cons are the tuners feel pretty cheap and weak, but they can be pretty cheaply replaced by my luthier and even with that factored in this feels better than any bass I've played up to now!

Pro's are a solidly built alder bass with a maple neck which is pretty unheard of in this price range, with a great pre-amp to boot, Mine came with a great set-up although I did lower the action a little to suit my tastes this was a 5 minute job and otherwise was playable right out the box.

The rolled fretboard is a dream to play on and the bass itself looks stunning!

Great value for the money

I used it on a European tour where a lot of planes were involved, so I wouldn't be too stressed out at checking it in. It got the job done, but I ended up getting a new bass for the following tours, aminly because of the weight.

Pros: great playability and tone.

Cons: a bit on the heavy side, and not so well balanced (the neck dive is noticeable)

Fantastic instrument - 12 months on from purchase

Used for practise, rehearsal and gigging (not many though...thanks, 2020). Great versatility and comfortable to play, if not the lightest ever bass. Knobs/pots are below the standard of the rest of the instrument, but on a par for the price range - they work fine, and at the price I'm not complaining but I have upgraded them myself since.

As others with far more experience have said, you'd have to pay twice as much to get an equivalent quality instrument from other manufacturers, and who wouldn't want a €1000 bass?
