Great value

I have this bass for over a year now and it's great. The sound is amazing but the best feature is neck. It's fast and nice to play on. I recommend this bass.

Natural ash bodied Sire Marcus Miller v7 bass

This was the first Sire bass I bought from The moment I took it out of the Sire shipping box, I knew that this instrument looked amazing.

Then, holding the bexk in my fretting hand, I was completely sold - due to the rolled fingerboard edges. The neck feels so comfortable, a d the whole instrument has a deep resonance combined with a really fast "snap" to the top end of the Doune without sounding in any way harsh.

The pickups and active tone controls combine to make this bass usable in Amy musical situation. Really easy to navigate the controls consist of:

Stacked master volume and passive tone roll off.

Pickup pan-pot / blend control

Three band active boost / cut circuit.

I love this bass!!!

Love it

My one criticism is that the volume difference between passive and active mode is very large. Otherwise, this bass is fantastic value for money, with excellent tone variation possibilities and brilliant sustain. It also feels fantastic to play

It's a bass that compares easily with much more expensive ones. At this price you get a premium quality instrument with an amazing sound. Great job from Sire!

A high end instrument at an affordable price

I am a guitarist & songwriter and I needed a bass for my recordings. I can't afford to have lots of basses so I needed only one to do the job. And I found it.

From the very start that I played it, it felt comparable to a high end instrument. The whole construction feels solid and expensive. The sound is crystal clear with lots of sustain and you have so many options from all those knobs. The feel of the knobs is the only thing that felt cheap but they work really great.

I was surprised by the rolled edges of the neck, which is really comfortable, the fantastic fretwork and that massive saddles on the bridge.

There is also a neck-pickup cover included but you have to drill the pickguard in order to attach it.

I definitely recommend this bass guitar. It sounds fantastic, it's comfortable and it feels expensive.

That's all a bass player needs.

It is a very good bass for the price. Very silent and effective preamp. Both pickups sound very good, clear and deep, even in passive mode. This swamp ash version is very light and resonant, which i like on a bass. The only thing is I don't like the neck, which is too tender, so it moves a lot, it's not very stable, so I'd replace it with an ebony one (it'd be worth the money, because it is a VERY good bass). The tuning machines have to be lubrified, but they're good.

Great Bass

This Bass looks great and plays really well. The neck is fast and comfortable. You can get a very bright sound out of it which is what I was going for nevertheless it's quite a versatile Bass. Both active and passive modes sound good. These new pickups on 2nd Generation Sire basses have more powerful output. All in all it's a great instrument for its price. You can't really go wrong with it.
