Markbass Compressore Reviews
Markbass Compressore
Overall nice sounding compressor pedal. Very good control. My only complain is that its quite fragile. Already had to replace the electronics once after accidentally pulling the power cable while the pedal was on. But thats me who is bad not the pedal. But still - use carefully.
Amazing compressor. I would even say it is a Studio Quality tool.
All the controls for real Compressor - really great.
No faults
This compressor has great unique characteristics and works flawlessly. The only valve compressor I know of that actually compresses with the valve (a lot use the valve as a gain stage).
The only thing I could pick at is the on LED is very bright!
Amazing Compressor
very well build
sound is very good
compression options are great
if you need the best this is it
Best comp pedal!
First of all and most important its dead silent! I can compare it to a studio comp easily. The compression is fantastic, really happy that I chose Markbass Compressore. The sound is warm and well defined thanks to the valve inside. The only annoying thing whenever I take out my pedalboard from the case, the knobs are in different position, and u need to put them back in the desirable setting position, the old designe was better. I use it with a Warwick Streamer LX Broadneck and a full stack Ampeg SVT CL and the sound is just fantastic!
The only compressor worth buying.
Bought this puppy, cause no other compressor did the job as good.
This tube comp will do what you want it to, no questions asked, just turn it on and then keep it on.
Great compressor
It's pricey, large and requires a 12V power supply, but totally worth it if you're after the best compression you can get in pedal form. This is on par with what you would expect from a rack mounted studio compressor in terms of sound and functionality. The pedal offers lots of control, but I usually keep it rather transparent, at a level where it's hard to notice when playing alone, but you can really feel the magic when playing with a band, it makes the whole group sound tighter.
Fantastic compressor pedal!
Wow, what a great compression pedal! I have never really used compression pedals before, but this was quite easy to set up and really hear the changes it makes in your sound, for the better! I am using it with an Ashdown CTM 100 all valve head, 8x10 cab and Fender Jazz Bass, and it really helped to smooth everything out and improve my tone. Note that the new design is a bit smaller than the model before, so it fits fairly neatly on my pedalboard as well. Highly recommended!
Nice tones and compression
This is a great compressor. However the instructions are non existent.
You do need to take the time out to tailor your own sound and compression rate, however it does produce results. Gives a great sustain for fretless bass.
Single tube gives a nice warming quality. Great for studio use.
Review Markbass Compressore
Hello,
I'm here to share my review of the Markbass Compressore.
It sound greats, nomatter what bass i'm using it with
It's dead silent, great bypass and even when it's on, no noise.
The compressed sound is great, probably that's because the tube itself actually performs the compression. Indeed, there is a tube in this device.
The device is rather big, so this is something to consider if you prefer a small footprint onstage. The only downpoint for me is that it needs a 12V DC powersupply, but i think that power is needed for the compression...
I'm glad i got this pedal, i'm using it at home, in the studio and on stage
TOP ! Five stars !
Awesome Compressor !!!!
Its great compressor. Im using it on MarkBass rig and total sound is just amazing. Deeper tonality with warm ends, high notes are more vivid. Its bigger that any other compressor. But still it is awesome compressor. you will not regret !!!!
Great warm tube sound
Just a great sounding pedal, flawless controls and quality build. A lot of compressor pedals can be noisy, this one is whisper quiet. This pedal is definitely a keeper and with its sturdy construction I think it will be around for a long time.
Fantastic Comp pedal
I brought this pedal with a view to warming up my tone rather than the squashy style of compression and I am delighted with the results.
You have a lot of control over the way the pedal reacts to your playing and really does make a difference warming up and fattening your sound.
You can still push it to provide the funky squashed comp style if you like. Also, the way the controls are embedded means that they are less likely to be knocked in transit meaning loss of settings.
Downsides are that the pedal is pretty big compared to other pedals and the fact that it is 12V means I have to power it seperatly to my 9V pedals.
These are small issues though and the quality of the pedal far outweighs these.
Highly recommended
smooth and warm
havent done to much with it to date - but initial trials gave a smooth warm and fast response .
tames the spikes particularly slap - very well.
the power adapter looks a bit cheap and nasty , not a fan of this .
Compressorre
Takes a bit of setting up to get the sounds you want but it really helps with fretless bass. Makes a ntoiceable difference. Recommended.
