Marshall MG15GFX Reviews
Great and eveything but that hiss...
This is my first marshall amp and i happily bought it. Looks really cool with the partly gold colour. Every single knob does its job. There is nothing wrong with the amp by the means of electronic or mechanic. Panel on its back feels thin. Well, not like it is going to break with a slight touch. But...
When i first plugged my tele into the amp immediately heard the hissing in the background. Even on lower volumes there is this hiss and i dont even need to mention how does that hiss sound on higher volumes. If you are obsessive or audiophiliac, you are definitely going to feel uncomfortable. With a headset, hissing sound gets more tolerable. Tried with different guitars and sockets, nothing changed. Need to add, while playing focused of course, guitar sound dominates hissing.
Beside everything, cleans are great, gains, od's are great. 4 channels to use and save your own manual settings. Physically larger than i expected.
Final thoughts, no one can deny, amp sounds good. More than enough for couch play. Looks good. But that little hissing sound might be a deal breaker for you. Personally i dont mind but its a subjective matter.
Good sound for this price
I’m using it with Boss processor, very good sound quality, materials. Clear channel has own Marshall’s tone. Has all features that guitar enthusiasts needs, even pro guys 🤝 can recommend it for everyone
decent Marshall amp
I had no clue about amps so I just got this Marshall for 165€. I really like it, it has many features and different settings that affect the output of the sound. However if you’re planning to play more advanced stuff you should probably go for something better like a boss katana. I can’t complain because it’s ideal for a low budget and perfect if you’re jamming in your room.
Mükemmeldi, herşey kusursuzdu.
If you want a great Rock combo just buy it!
Nothing to add. It is one of the best on the market. But without a pedal, it's not very good for Metal.
Beginner Guitarist Review
If you're looking to get your first amp and guitar you can stop looking. This was one of the options suggested by the website when I got my first guitar. The purpose of this amp is not to produce the best sound out there that would be a ridiculous expectation. This is a practice amp. An amp to help you get started on your music journey before commiting to spend thousands of dollars on an amp. I didn't know there are many tones you can get out of an amp and this amp helped introduce me to the vast range of sound you can get out of your guitar and amp. It also has the basic effects (delay reverb phaser flanger chorus...) you need when you start experimenting so you cant try them out before you start getting pedals for tones you don't need or want. Also it can get really loud if you need it to. Great value-for-money purchase. Never had any problem with it.
love this amp!!
This is a great practice amp and definitely one of the best you'll get for this price
Very affordable good quality practice amp.
Bought alongside an Ibanez SA460MBW-SUB, and they sound great together.
Awesome little power pack!
The effects are amazing and it packs a lot of sound for size.
Incredible amp!
The best guitar combo in its price. Sound is adorable. Kinda huge, but just 2kg heavier than fender champion 20, but instead fx and sound overall is much better, I compared. All in all, buy it immediately if you're looking for low-price amp.
Just for home
very good amplifier for home use.
Good practice amp for the price
I got this as a step up from the Boss Katana Mini I bought previously because I need a practice amp for indoors, and I prefer the Marshall overdrive/distortion.
Plenty variety of sounds possible. I would recommend getting the foot switch for ease of use and storing presets.
Warning - I use Sennheiser HD 200 Pro headphones and there is a Larsen-like whistling feedback when the overdrive channels are set, and more so when any kind of effect is used. Larsen does not happen without headphones... can anyone give me an explanation?
Otherwise happy with it. Good little amp for the price.
Classic Marshall
everything is perfect, spund quality, features. everything you expect from the marshall brand(and also quite2 loud for 15w)
Good choice
I'm a beginner and for me it was very good choice. All need to start learning is there. Optimal for home. Broad possibilities to tune the sound. Loudness is more then enough for home also.
Everything works. Just the thing.
must have
this is a must have combo, i got it with my Harley Benton SC-450 LD.
The sound is freaking awesome, especially with chorus effect (yes it has effects!)
I'm yet to discover all the possibilities of this combo, this is a great deal!
and overkill for my bedroom
Good value for money
Very easy to use bundled with features.
Disappointing is the fact that it advertises a tuner, which so far I haven found how to use and apparently only works with external accessory.
User manual is not supplied (only a useless folded sheet with unreadable small lettering) but that can be found online.
Very good thing!
I bought this combo for playing at home, it's pretty loud, comfotable and it's design is nice. All four effects sound good and for me it's interesting to expirement with them.
There's nothing to say anything bad about this combo. Unless you can find fault with the sound. Sometimes or even often you can hear a horrible noise on the OD-2 channel (other channels sound perfect).
In my own opinion it is the one of the best combos for it's price!
It's perfect!
I can't add much more, everything is OK and it looks better than in the pictures on the site :)
I'll use the amplifier in my bedroom so it's not going to have a hard life. The sound is perfect to me, both crunch and clean, effects are good. I'm very happy with it.
